AI Demand & Portfolio Manager - Enterprise AI
Enterprise IT & Quality
Ballerup, Denmark
Shape how AI transforms manufacturing and corporate functions – by turning strategic ambition into clear, actionable demand that delivers real value.
Your new role
As AI Demand & Portfolio Manager, you will be the primary Enterprise AI demand-management partner for Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) and Corporate Functions, including People & Organisation and Quality. You will bridge the gap between business priorities and AI delivery, ensuring that demand is proactively identified, clearly articulated and aligned to create measurable impact.
Your key responsibilities will include:
-
Building proactive engagement with leaders across GMS and Corporate Functions on collaboration with Enterprise AI Delivery Teams to identify strategic priorities, operational pain points and emerging AI opportunities, maintaining a complete and transparent demand view
-
Leading discovery and intake sessions that translate ambiguous business needs into concise problem statements and outcome hypotheses – each with clear ownership, value definition, success measures, dependencies and readiness criteria
-
Orchestrating end-to-end demand alignment by connecting related requests, identifying duplication and reuse opportunities, and routing demand to the right Enterprise AI teams and governance forums
-
Convening and influencing cross-functional stakeholders – spanning AI delivery, data, architecture, security, privacy, legal, risk and compliance – to drive actions, resolve ambiguity and surface trade-offs
-
Defining value hypotheses, baselines, indicators and follow-up cadences with business owners and AI delivery teams, maintaining visibility of value commitments and challenging gaps
-
Providing management and governance with clear demand and value insights, including pipeline coverage, maturity, cycle time, bottlenecks and portfolio balance
-
Promoting a problem-first, value-led approach to AI demand and encouraging reuse, scalability and cross-domain synergies.
Your new department
In Enterprise IT & Quality, you will be part of a business area that drives impact across the full Novo Nordisk value chain. We strive to stay close to our stakeholders in the business to ensure we deliver on their needs, helping reach millions of people living with serious chronic diseases. Our focus is on being at the forefront within our three areas; ensuring the highest quality for patients, being a trusted tech leader and an environmentally responsible business.
Within Enterprise IT & Quality, you will join the Enterprise AI function, where a growing team is shaping how AI capabilities are identified, governed and scaled across Novo Nordisk. You will work at the intersection of business strategy, AI delivery and portfolio governance – playing a critical coordination role that connects ambition with execution across some of our most complex domains.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for someone who thrives in complexity, creates clarity from ambiguity and builds momentum through influence rather than authority. You'll bring with you:
-
7+ years of relevant experience in demand management, portfolio or product management, digital or AI transformation, strategy, business partnering or management consulting in a complex global organisation
-
Demonstrated ability to shape ambiguous business needs into clear, outcome-oriented initiatives and to mobilise cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority
-
Experience working with manufacturing and supply-chain environments and/or Corporate Functions; exposure to both is an advantage
-
Practical understanding of the AI, data or digital product lifecycle, including discovery, feasibility, data readiness, responsible AI and risk considerations, delivery, adoption and value measurement
-
Proven experience developing value cases, benefits-tracking approaches, KPIs and executive-level portfolio or demand reporting
-
A relevant Master's degree in business, engineering, technology, data, economics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
-
Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals or another regulated industry is an advantage
-
Fluent written and spoken English; the role is based in Denmark and operates in a global stakeholder environment.
