Associate Program Controller

Would you like to help drive financial transparency in one of MES Center of Exellence biggest digital programmes? As an Associate Program Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the financial management of site implementation projects within the new NextGen PAS-X Migration programme as well as our existing PAS-X Deployment Portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a foundation in finance, controlling, or project cost management who enjoys working with data, stakeholders, and structured processes in a global environment.

Your new role

As Associate Program Controller, you will support the day-to-day financial controlling of assigned site implementation projects across the global NextGen PAS-X Migration programme & PAS-X Deployment Portfolio area. Working closely with project managers, finance colleagues, procurement teams, and programme stakeholders, you will help ensure accurate financial reporting, reliable forecasts, and strong governance throughout the project lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting project cost controlling, including tracking actuals, commitments, accruals, budgets, forecasts, and variances.
• Preparing monthly financial reporting packs and maintaining project cost trackers using approved programme templates.
• Assisting with month-end activities, including accrual management, purchase order follow-up, invoice validation, and GR/IR monitoring.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities by gathering inputs from project stakeholders and documenting assumptions.
• Contributing to project governance, change requests, financial risk tracking, audit readiness, and steering committee materials.

You will help identify financial deviations and data quality issues, ensuring that risks are escalated appropriately while maintaining consistency across project reporting and controlling processes.

Your new department

You will join the MES CoE, a central department implementing MES across the globe in Novo, where the NextGen PAS-X Migration programme is recently established as well as our existing Deployment area is anchored implementing MES (manufacturing Execution System) across Novo both on our Greenfield and Brownfield production sites.

The Migration programme is a global initiative responsible for upgrading current MES and related operational technology integrations across production sites. The programme is delivered through a centrally governed rollout model, combining global standards and central implementation expertise.

Working within the MES CoE finance and controlling, you will collaborate with project managers, PMO specialists, finance partners, procurement teams, vendors, and site stakeholders. The team is committed to delivering transparency, consistency, and financial discipline that enable successful programme execution while supporting the broader digital transformation of manufacturing operations.

Your skills and qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Project Management, Economics, or a related field, combined with an interest in project controlling and financial analysis.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Some experience or strong academic exposure to finance, controlling, accounting, project cost management, or project support activities.
• Understanding of project financial concepts such as budgets, forecasts, actuals, accruals, commitments, purchase orders, invoices, CAPEX, OPEX, and variance analysis.
• Strong Excel and data management skills, with experience working in reporting tools, ERP systems, or financial tracking environments.
• A structured and detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to work across project, finance, procurement, and operational stakeholders.

Experience supporting digital, IT, manufacturing, or transformation projects will be considered an advantage. Most importantly, you are proactive, curious, and motivated by creating accurate financial insights that support informed decision-making.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 499,600 to 734,400 DKK corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
