Account Executive

Description

You’re organised, customer-focused and technically curious.

This position supports the day-to-day coordination of assigned projects for digital products used in clinical trials, including our proprietary clinical SaaS solution, Virtual Interactive Protocol (VIPro). The account executive works with guidance from an account lead and supports project delivery, customer communications, financial administration, and organic growth activities. The account executive works closely with sponsors, study teams, and cross-functional clinical, operational, product, and technology stakeholders to support successful implementation, adoption, and study delivery.

Client Management

  • Support customer communications, meetings and follow-up for assigned projects, including work with sponsors and study teams.
  • Prepare for and participate in client touchpoints, communicate project status, document next steps and complete agreed follow-up.
  • Escalate project risks, issues and client concerns to the account lead as appropriate.

Project Management

  • Coordinate assigned project activities and deliver work reliably with guidance from an account lead.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, action plans and meeting materials; track risks, issues, actions and deliverables, escalating concerns to the account lead when appropriate.
  • Support demonstrations, solution reviews and implementation planning for internal and external customers.

Financial Management

  • Support project administration and financial tracking with guidance from the account lead.
  • Support project estimates, statements of work, budget tracking and related project communications.
  • Review project utilization information and flag potential scope or budget changes to the account lead.

Business Development

  • Support proposal development, new business presentations, demonstrations and other customer-facing materials for existing and prospective clients.
  • Identify and share opportunities to improve or expand digital products and related service offerings.

Business and Product Knowledge

  • Develop knowledge of medical communications, clinical research operations, clinical trial workflows and the needs of sponsors and study teams.
  • Develop an understanding of regulated environments and the importance of following client requirements, technical specifications, quality standards and internal processes.
  • Build working knowledge of the organization’s digital product capabilities, service offerings, assigned studies, protocols and implementation requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, communications, business or technology, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • At least two years’ professional experience within a service industry, ideally involving project coordination, account support, customer service, healthcare, technology or another relevant environment.
  • Clinical trial experience and familiarity with how studies are planned, initiated, conducted, monitored or supported are helpful but not required.
  • Experience coordinating activities across teams in a service, healthcare, technology or regulated environment.
  • Interest in digital products and technology, with an aptitude for developing knowledge of product-development processes.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and their use in content, operational or delivery workflows is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of project management and collaboration platforms, such as Wrike, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Salesforce or comparable business systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize assigned work across multiple projects and timelines, work independently and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving and attention to detail.
