Global Electrical & Security Expert

We are looking for a strategic, collaborative and solutions-oriented Global Electrical & Security Expert to join our Physical Asset Management, Technical Standards & Expertise team , based at our UCB campus in Braine L’Alleud .

About the role

As Global Electrical & Security Expert, you will be UCB’s worldwide reference for electrical systems and physical security. You will shape and implement global strategies across engineering projects and maintenance activities. You will ensure that technical standards integrate regulatory requirements, cGxP principles, safety, sustainability and Good Engineering Practices. You will also provide specialist guidance, promote innovation throughout the equipment lifecycle and support the consistent application of standards across UCB sites.

Who you will work with

You will join the Physical Asset Management, Technical Standards & Expertise team and report to the Technical Standards & Expertise Lead. You will collaborate with Engineering, Sites & Facilities teams, project leaders, maintenance specialists and multidisciplinary stakeholders worldwide. You will also guide internal experts, external partners, vendors and contractors, helping teams translate business needs into robust and sustainable technical solutions.

What you will do

  • You will define and implement global strategies for electrical systems, security, engineering projects and maintenance activities.
  • You will develop technical standards integrating regulations, cGxP, safety, sustainability and business requirements.
  • You will guide feasibility studies, conceptual designs and technical solution selection for new engineering projects.
  • You will monitor standards implementation and provide technical support across UCB’s global sites.
  • You will support technical assessments, failure investigations and continuous improvement initiatives within Physical Asset Management.
  • You will identify emerging technologies and introduce lifecycle innovations that improve reliability, safety and sustainability.

Interested?

For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience and skills:

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, security engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
  • At least ten years’ experience in information security, including exposure to European cybersecurity directives.
  • ISO 27001:2022 Lead Implementer, Lead Auditor or equivalent certification.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, instrumentation and industry-standard engineering tools.
  • Proven leadership of complex international projects, multidisciplinary teams and internal or external technical resources.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and French, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
