The Opportunity
This position works out of our location in Wiesbaden (Abbott GmbH) in the Core Diagnostics division that is focusing diagnostic solutions used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics around the globe.
The Marketing Manager supports the growth of our Core Diagnostics Immunoassay portfolio across the EEMEAP region.
This role is responsible for planning and executing regional marketing activities in alignment with global strategy and affiliate needs. The Marketing Manager focuses on translating strategy into execution, supporting commercial teams with effective tools, campaigns, and insights, and driving consistent portfolio performance across diverse markets. The position operates in a matrixed, international environment, working closely with Sales, Commercial Excellence, Global Marketing, and other cross ‑ functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Planning

Contribute to the development and execution of the regional marketing plan in alignment with global portfolio strategies

Support pricing, positioning, and segmentation strategies to enable sales growth and portfolio competitiveness

Track and report on marketing performance, campaign effectiveness, and key business KPIs
Market, Customer & Competitive Insights

Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to support informed marketing decisions

Maintain market intelligence and share insights with internal stakeholders

Support tender activities and strategic initiatives in collaboration with affiliate commercial teams
Commercial & Cross ‑ Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with affiliate Sales and Service teams to support commercial execution

Work with Commercial Excellence to identify opportunities using CRM insights and data

Collaborate with Global Marketing to ensure alignment with global messaging and standards
Product Lifecycle & Launch Support

Support product lifecycle activities including launch planning, campaign execution, and post ‑ launch optimization

Develop marketing materials, sales tools, and training content to enable effective field execution

Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels
Communication & Digital Marketing

Support internal and external communication initiatives, including campaigns and content development

Actively contribute to digital and social media marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with Abbott policies and regional strategy
Operational Excellence

Support demand planning inputs, monthly reporting, and budget tracking

Ensure timely execution of marketing activities with strong attention to detail and compliance
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field

Experience in marketing and/or sales within the diagnostics or medical device industry

Mandatory: Experience in an Immunoassay environment within the Diagnostics market

Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills

Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, cross ‑ functional environment

Fluent in English (written and spoken) – mandatory Additional languages are a strong advantage, particularly relevant EEMEAP languages
