The Opportunity
This position works out of our Wiesbaden location - Abbott Diagnostics GmbH in the Point of Care division. Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio spans key heath and therapeutic areas, including infections disease, cardiometabolic, informatics and toxicology.
Your Tasks:
- Establish and maintain relationships with KOLs, clinical investigators, and healthcare professionals in the POC diagnostics space
- Present and discuss clinical data, product performance, and diagnostic utility at medical meetings, advisory boards, and educational forums
- Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries and provide accurate, balanced, and evidence-based information
- Collect and report field insights to inform medical and commercial strategies
- Monitor competitor activity and emerging trends in POC diagnostics and related therapeutic areas
- Assist with site identification, feasibility assessments, and coordination of clinical trials
- Collaborate with investigators and research teams to support study execution and data dissemination
- Partner with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure alignment of scientific messaging
- Contribute to the development of medical education materials and training programs
- Ensure all interactions and activities comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines
Your Qualification:
- Medical Degree (MD/DO/MBBS) or Doctorate, ideally in a life sciences or medical field
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of POC technologies, clinical workflows, and diagnostic pathways
- Experience in a Medical Affairs or MSL role, within diagnostics or medical devices preferred
- Preferred experience in infectious disease, cardiology, or emergency medicine diagnostics
- Fluent in German and English
