Legal Counsel Labor & Social Law (m/f/d)
You will serve as Legal Counsel (Syndikusrechtsanwalt) in the legal department of Bayer AG as contact for all labor and social law issues at Bayer AG, its subgroups, and subsidiaries. You will be responsible for your own tasks within the labor and social law department and work closely with the relevant stakeholders to protect Bayer's interests and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide expert legal advice on all matters of individual and collective labor law as well as social law
- Support in the establishment, implementation and termination of employment relationships
- Conduct independently separation negotiations with external lawyers, including the preparation of termination agreements
- Represent Bayer AG and its subsidiaries in labor and social court proceedings and in administrative matters with public authorities
- Provide legal advice on collective labor law issues and draft collective agreements
- Draft and negotiate employment law issues in connection with corporate restructuring, transfers of undertakings and carve-ins/outs
- Provide employment and social law training for specialists and managers
WHO YOU ARE
- Successfully completed both the first and second state law exams, preferably with merits, and eligible for admission to the bar in Germany
- First professional experience in the legal department of a company or a law firm focused on commercial and/or labor law
- Possess advanced knowledge of employment and social law
- High level of teamwork and communication skills, enthusiasm and assertiveness
- Understanding of entrepreneurial contexts
- Sense of responsibility, independent and structured way of working, willingness to make decisions
- Fluent in written and spoken English
This position is limited for 24 months.
