The role is located in our headquarters in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main area and offers the chance to work closely with your various stakeholders, therefore we anticipate a significant on-site presence in Ingelheim.

Tasks & responsibilities

As Director, you will:

  • Lead and govern large-scale strategic, transformational, and performance enhancement programs across multiple functions, regions, and countries.
  • Provide end-to-end strategic management consulting - from scoping to delivery and handover.
  • Govern external consulting spending, make strategic resource allocation decisions, and present actionable, client-sensitive solutions to executive committees.
  • Develop internal talents for future leadership roles and minimize reliance on external consultants.
  • Ensure project success through rigorous performance tracking, stakeholder management, and formal feedback processes.
  • Act as a trusted counterpart and sparring partner to senior business leaders.
  • Contribute to departmental development by creating new methodologies, tools, and concepts.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Business Administration, Science, Medicine, or a comparable academic qualification
  • Extensive consultancy experience in top-tier consulting firms, with a proven track record of leading large, complex projects preferably in the Life Science field
  • Proven strategic skills including organizational design, business unit strategy, agile methods, and transformation leadership
  • Ambition to solve complex problems in ambiguous environments and a strong understanding of strategic and economic “big picture” correlations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English are required. German or additional language skills are an advantage.
