Head of Pipeline Commercial

The Position

As Head of Pipeline Commercial, you will lead the strategic commercialization of a defined cluster of assets and/or indications within our therapeutic area portfolio. Reporting to the Head of the Therapeutic Area, you will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies from Proof of Concept (PoC) onwards, ensuring seamless transition into late-stage development and launch readiness.

This role combines strategic leadershipcross-functional collaboration, and people management in a highly dynamic, global environment. You will shape the future of our pipeline by integrating deep market insights, innovative access strategies, and customer-centric approaches.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive commercial strategies and cTPPs for pipeline assets post-PoC in alignment with TA and indication goals.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team (>10 FTEs) across Marketing and Market Access, fostering excellence, growth, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure strategic readiness for late-stage development and commercialization, including market development plans, indication strategies, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Patient Engagement, and other functions to co-create competitive market strategies.
  • Represent TA Commercial pipeline in internal governance bodies and contribute to cross-TA initiatives.
  • Drive capability building and mindset evolution within the team, aligned with industry trends and digital transformation.
  • Identify and develop future commercial leaders for assets entering late-stage development.

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Extensive experience in Marketing and Market Access within human pharma, with at least 5 years in a commercial leadership role.
  • Proven track record in customer experience management and/or digital marketing.
  • Previous supervisory experience with larger teams (>10 FTEs).
  • In-country (OPU/Regional) marketing experience is crucial, ideally across multiple geographies.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline development and commercialization pathways.
  • Deep knowledge of global markets (US, EU, Japan, China) and ability to tailor strategies to local archetypes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in a matrixed environment.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
