
(IS) Corporate (Senior) Auditor

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a (IS) Corporate (Senior) Auditor.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits across various processes, ensuring that our business and IT operations are incompliance with industry standards and regulations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our processes, providing valuable insights and recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Tasks & responsibilities
- One of your responsibilities will be to protect Boehringer Ingelheim by performing standard and strategic operational and/or IT audits.
- Moreover, you will conduct process assessments by analyzing information and interviewing colleagues.
- As a strong communicator, you will produce objective and unbiased audit reports with recommendations to the senior management, leverage best practice and ensure corrective actions plans are implemented.
- Furthermore, you will act as the key contact for the auditing function because you will work across all geographies, functions and businesses and interact directly with the Board of Managing Directors and Senior Management.
- In our diverse team you will determine whether Boehringer Ingelheim’s risk management, systems of control and governance processes are adequate and functioning as intended.
Additional Tasks & Responsibilities for the Senior Role:
- With your experience, you will develop, plan and conduct non-standard or special audits, including the coordination of external support, ensuring a comprehensive and thorough examination of our operations.
- As an influential member of the team and mentor you will support creating a positive learning culture, coaching or counseling junior team members and helping them to develop further.
- In addition to your auditing activities, you will support Boehringer Ingelheim in further enhancing processes with trusted advisory activities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in IT, Economics, Natural Sciences, Engineering Law or similar with few years of work experience in internal auditing with a focus on IT and/or operational audits (e.g., R&D, Medicine); alternatively, a bachelor's degree in one of the disciplines with additional professional experience
- Professional Auditor Certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA etc.)
- Team player with strong analytical skills
- Knowledge in data analytics, business processes and business acumen
- Willingness to spend up to 50 % of the working time on business trips
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English (verbal and writing)
Additional Requirements for the Senior Role
- Several years of experience in internal auditing with a focus on IT and/or operational audits (e.g., R&D, Medicine)
- Experience and detailed understanding of the entire spectrum of audit scopes.
- Capability to quickly adapt to new circumstances, information and challenges, and withstand and resolve conflicts
