The Position

As a Senior International Product Manager (IPM), you will play a pivotal role in driving complex marketing initiatives, collaborating with key Operating Units (OPUs), and partnering with external agencies to deliver impactful results. This is your opportunity to work closely with regional teams and OPUs to define and execute customer insight strategies, ensuring critical insights are captured and brand strategies are successfully adapted and implemented locally.

In this high-visibility role, you will represent the Brand Team at key events across therapeutic areas and regions, taking full ownership of your projects and delivering measurable outcomes. With a focus on innovation, disruptive thinking, and strategic leadership, you will help achieve ambitious goals while making a meaningful impact on Boehringer Ingelheim’s success.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • In your new role, you will actively contribute to the global product launch & commercialization strategy. 
  • You will be responsible for defining brand identity and strategy including brand plans and creative campaigns.
  • Furthermore, you will develop and execute key global marketing deliverables based on stakeholder, disease and brand insights.
  • You will be partnering with regional and local colleagues to ensure strategic alignment and launch readiness.
  • Additionally, you will collaborate with internal business partners and focus markets on development of tactics, x-functionally.
  • You take an active part in defining an innovative multi-channel strategy for customer engagement.
  • Moreover, you will effectively manage agency relationships ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Hold an advanced degree such as a PhD, Master of Science, or MBA
  • Bring extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a proven track record in sales and marketing across regional or global roles
  • Demonstrate hands-on expertise in global product launches, ensuring a seamless and impactful market entry
  • Exhibit in-depth knowledge of therapeutic areas, particularly liver diseases, with obesity-related experience being an asset
  • Possess additional professional exposure in sales, market research, or market access
  • Excel in leading and influencing cross-functional teams on complex, large-scale projects with a collaborative approach
  • Combine strategic thinking with sharp analytical skills to develop and implement effective business strategies
  • Showcase a customer-centric mindset, leveraging deep customer insights to craft innovative brand strategies and tactics
  • Thrive in challenging environments, demonstrating intrapreneurial spirit, leadership, and a results-driven attitude
  • Communicate effectively in English, with exceptional interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders
