Senior Program Manager - Platform Delivery

We are looking for an experienced and data-driven “Senior Program Manager – Platform Delivery” to lead the software delivery operations of our data, analytics, AI & integration Platforms teams. In this pivotal role, you will orchestrate cross-team release planning, capacity management, budgeting, and operational excellence. You will champion continuous process improvement, agile best practices, and KPI-driven delivery to ensure our platforms scale efficiently and deliver maximum business value. 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • You will handle release planning & operations as you oversee end-to-end release planning, scheduling, and execution for the platform teams, ensuring timely, high-quality, and reliable software releases. 
  • Moreover, you will define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance, delivery, and operational health, and leverage data-driven insights to inform decisions and drive improvements.
  • To continuously improve processes and to boost team productivity, quality, and delivery speed you will identify, implement, and champion process enhancements as well as foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • You will be responsible for capacity planning as you strategically forecast and manage team capacity, ensuring optimal resource allocation across multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Furthermore, budget management - developing, tracking, and managing budgets for software development operations, aligning with organizational goals and driving cost efficiency - will be one of your tasks.
  • In regard to stakeholder communication, you will serve as the primary liaison between engineering teams, business stakeholders, and leadership and will ensure clear, timely, and transparent communication on program status, risks, and outcomes.
  • Last but not least, you will proactively identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful program delivery.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or a related field or Bachelor’s degree with more years of relevant work experience
  • Several years of professional experience in program or delivery management in a software development environment, ideally with a focus on data, analytics, GenAI/Agentic AI or application platforms with distributed teams
  • Sound knowledge of capacity planning, budget responsibility and release management in agile, dynamic environments
  • Experience in defining, tracking and reporting KPIs
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), data integration and DevOps is an advantage
  • Proven experience in the introduction and application of agile methods (e.g. SAFe, Scrum, Kanban), corresponding certifications (e.g. as Scrum Master, Product Owner) are a plus
  • Strong interdisciplinary team leadership and priority management skills
  • Strong communication in English and organizational skills as well as confident stakeholder management, Spanish and German skills are a plus
