
(Senior) Trade & Shopper Manager - Global Pet Health
The Position
As a leader in animal health, our brands are trusted by pet owners and veterinarians across the world, and in the global Pet Trade & Shopper Marketing team, we are redefining how these brands connect with shoppers, customers and pet owners.
We are looking for an experienced (Senior) Trade & Shopper Manager to join our global team, shaping how we transform deep shopper insights into powerful, scalable activation strategies that drive conversion and measurable commercial impact across veterinary and retail channels.
Located at our headquarters in Ingelheim, this is a unique opportunity to apply trade and shopper marketing expertise in differentiated healthcare environments.
Tasks & responsibilities
- In your new role, you will develop shopper marketing initiatives and campaigns across channels to increase brand visibility and drive shopper conversion.
- Based on customer and shopper insights, you will build insight-led engagement strategies, toolkits, and assets that support consistent and high-quality execution of our global pet brands across markets and channels (vet and retail).
- In addition, you will review and assess internal and external activation initiatives to identify improvement and growth opportunities that elevate brand performance.
- You will support global insight generation to understand pet category drivers, shopper behavior, and channel dynamics, informing both strategic and tactical decisions.
- Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will help inform decisions related to packaging, pricing, claims, portfolio management, and commercial execution.
Additional tasks for Senior Trade & Shopper Manager:
- You will support and contribute to the development of the global Trade & Shopper Marketing strategy, helping to define frameworks and success models.
- By driving global shopper and customer insight needs, you will help guide category growth and identify commercial opportunities.
- You will steer complex cross-functional projects and strengthen global Trade & Shopper Marketing capabilities.
Requirements
- University degree; preference for Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MSc)
- Several years of experience in trade marketing, category management, sales, or marketing, ideally gained within a global FMCG or OTC organization
- A proven track record of leading complex projects and/or people within an international matrix environment
- Strong analytical and commercial thinking skills, with the ability to leverage data, insights, and industry trends to identify opportunities and deliver impactful results across retail, eretail, and/or veterinary channels
- Confident communication skills combined with the ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across cultures, countries, and multifunctional teams
- A highly organized, proactive, and agile self-starter with strong problem-solving capabilities
Additional requirements for Senior Trade and Shopper Manager:
- Long-term experience in people leadership and/or senior project leadership, with a strong track record of inspiring and engaging teams, leading through others, and scaling impact beyond own scope
- Proven success in influencing senior stakeholders and leadership teams, building alignment around strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic input and direction, translating business and portfolio strategies into clear Trade & Shopper Marketing priorities and frameworks.
This position is part time eligible with 80%.
