We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position:

Senior Specialist (m/f/x) Plan to Forecast (P2F) - Product Costing & Cost Controlling

Purpose of the function

• Execute and partly oversee the operational activities of the regional End-to-end process "Plan to Forecast (P2F)", especially Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Product Costing and Cost Controlling services in the regional scope of Global Business Services
• Support and partly coordinate month-end Closing process and planning process with regards to cost allocations and Product Costing
• Support and partly coordinate building up and stabilizing the new organizational set-up of the GBS ESC and the new end-to-end (E2E) processes in the defined regional scope of the GBS ESC
• Closely collaborate and partly coordinate within the service line teams and support other GBS ESC service line teams as aligned with the responsible line manager, help to ensure that all interfaces are fully covered

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate and partly coordinate all transactions and activities related to the P2F, Cost Controlling and Product Costing scope in GBS ESC
• Execute delivery of operational P2F, Cost Controlling and Product Costing process activities
• Execute and partly coordinate the month-end closing process with regards to cost allocation and Product Costing (especially calculation and reconciliation of overhead, WIP and yield variance including COPA and BSC adjustments, settlement of production/ process orders and analysis of production variances)
• Execute the development and update and support the management of budgets, planning, analyses and periodic forecasting
• Cost analysis & Cost Controlling: analyze and constantly monitor cost structures, cost types and cost centers, gather data and measures for accurate budgeting and cost management including charges; ensure adherence to budgetary, forecasting and transfer pricing guidelines etc.
• Identify discrepancies in costs, proactively derive, align and implement measure to ensure an exhaustive, timely and fully compliant P2F, Controlling and Product Costing service process according to agreed activity splits
• Ensure a robust validation and reconciliation of data as well as full accuracy, correctness and timeliness of all reports in the scope of the regional GBS
• Execute and partly coordinate the operational planning process for standard COGS; review, verify and adjust standard COGS and Variance values in the planning tool during budget and forecast periods
• Calculate, maintain and verify unit COGS data, loss free calculation and product costs for new materials and create, verify and maintain material master data
• Collaborate and proactively communicate with all relevant stakeholder and ensure that issues and measures are well understood, managed and integrated into all business areas

• Ensure data accuracy and leverage tools and data analytics tools where applicable in the regional scope of GBS
• Perform fully compliant performance and documentation of relevant J-Sox controls and internal controls in the regional scope of work and be the responsible contact person for internal stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement of end-to-end process in scope of responsibility and in close cooperation with Global Process Owner (GPO) and other stakeholders
• Be the primary operational point of contact to internal teams or stakeholders outside of GBS ESC based on the scope of responsibility as well as for tax auditors, tax advisors and auditors for relevant topics
• Coordinate Controlling activities and be a primary contact person for less senior internal colleagues, be a mentor to new colleagues and partly perform and coordinate onboarding activities
• Manage sub-projects or participate and take over functional responsibility in larger projects to optimize the P2F and Controlling activities and the development of the GBS ESC

Professional Experience and Education

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics or related studies or relevant professional certification with significant experience in area or proven experience as Finance Business Partner – additional internationally respected certification (e.g. CMA) is a plus
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Controlling/ Management Accounting related to planning, budgeting, forecasting and Cost Controlling and proven relevant professional experience in Group Accounting and Consolidation
• Finance-related consulting or audit experience is a plus
• At least 2 years of international work experience, ideally in a global, cross-cultural environment
• Experience and preference to work in agile, complex and data-driven environment - experience in GBS and/or Shared Services structures is a plus
• Significant experience in project work or project management ideally with a track record of larger project and successful implementation

Skills and additional Requirements

• Very good Finance & Controlling knowledge, Product Costing/ COGS and strong Accounting and IFRS knowledge
• Good project management and process management skills including process design and optimization
• Strong system-related skills in systems and tools for P2F (e.g. SAP FI/CO), Reporting (e.g. SAP Analytics Cloud, Qlik, Power BI) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – financial data analytics skills is a plus
• Language skills: English (full professional proficiency/ business fluent), German (business fluent)
• Very good communicator and good stakeholder manager with intercultural and cross-functional collaboration skills• Analytical and conceptual skills with hands-on & result-oriented way of working• High level of customer centricity, strong Business Partner mentality
• High ability and affinity to constructively deal with conflicts and to work in an international and dynamic environment, especially in a transformation and/or GBS context
• Solid understanding of pharma business is a plus
