Manager Value Access Pricing (Market Access)

Summary

This role is a cornerstone of Incyte’s External Affairs strategy in Germany. The Senior Manager Market Access is responsible for shaping and executing holistic access strategies that secure and sustain pricing and reimbursement for Incyte’s portfolio. The position combines technical excellence in AMNOG and HEOR with communicative strength in stakeholder management, representing the company’s voice across the external environment. It offers strategic influence both on upcoming launches and pipeline shaping initiatives, in a high-visibility, cross-functional context.

Responsibilities

  • Market Access Strategy Development:
    • Contribute to the development and execution of market access strategies for selected pipeline and in-line products to achieve optimal pricing and reimbursement.
  • AMNOG Process Support:
    • Support the preparation of AMNOG dossiers and manage cross-functional contributions to ensure timely submission.
    • Assist in the analysis of relevant comparators (ZVT) and provide input on trial design.
    • Organize and contribute to G-BA scientific advice requests.
  • Pricing Negotiations:
    • Participate in pricing negotiations with the GKV-SV and other payers under guidance, supporting strategic alignment with the broader access strategy.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with colleagues across German & International Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams to align local strategies with regional objectives.
    • Ensure strategic alignment between national Market Access objectives and field team execution, fostering seamless collaboration and consistent external messaging across regions.
  • Data Analysis and Insights:
    • Contribute to benefit argumentation and prepare materials that clearly communicate product value to decision-makers.
  • Policy Monitoring & Strategic Input
    • Monitor regulatory and reimbursement developments; assess their impact on the portfolio.
    • Translate policy signals into strategic recommendations for product development and filing.
    • Analyze competitor activities.
  • HEOR & Value Demonstration
    • Lead HEOR-related workstreams to support benefit assessment and value messaging.
    • Translate evidence into tailored narratives for German stakeholders (payers, policy, HTA bodies).

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, biology, life sciences, or a related field is required.
    • Advanced degrees (e.g., master’s in health economics, public health, or related field) are a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 3–5 years of experience in market access, health economics, or a related field.
    • Hands-on experience with at least one successful AMNOG process.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Understanding of Evidence-Based Medicine and methodologies for benefit assessments in Germany.
    • Knowledge of the AMNOG process, G-BA regulations, and IQWiG methodology.
    • Familiarity with the German healthcare system and payer landscape.
    • Strong analytical and project management skills with a proven ability to work effectively in cross functional teams.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or Power BI) is advantageous.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both German and English required.
    • Written and verbal communication skills in French are considered a plus.
    • Strategic, proactive mindset with high learning agility; able to navigate complexity, build cross-functional relationships, and confidently engage with internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
