The Clinical Training Technology Specialist is the clinical and product expert, who consistently delivers top-quality training programs for J&J MedTech Interatrial Shunting to the field-based support team. The primary responsibility is ensuring new field team members progress along the projected certification pathway consistent with company standards. A secondary role is to support the field and business objectives including customer-facing field-based training events and clinical support for commercial cases as required. Additional responsibilities will include assisting with the creation and implementation of continuing education for the field-based support team and conducting training for both commercial field-based and corporate-based company employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support commercial employee onboarding by conducting training using a wide variety of training methods, focusing on V-Wave products as well as clinical and commercial core knowledge
  • Improve patient outcomes by ensuring the field team is properly trained and prepared to support patients on V-Wave products, and that training executed is aligned to the most current IFU
  • Participate in and facilitate the Train-the-Trainer process and act as a best-practices coach to V-Wave field team members
  • Provide clinical support in commercial cases as required, attending cases to support device preparation and use during the procedure.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the training and certification programs.
  • Accurately maintain training records, as well as inventory and equipment for employee training.
  • Manage logistics and planning for new employee training.
  • Support customer training events when needed.
  • Engage collaboratively with other cross-functional team members, lending clinical expertise when needed.
  • Ensure consistent compliance with applicable internal policies and procedures, external regulations and statutes, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience, 2+ years RN/tech patient experience and 2+ years field-based experience related to products and technologies utilized in the cardiovascular space
  • Cardiology experience required (ICU/CCU/CVICU, Cath Lab, CVOR, EP, etc.), including previous experience with cardiac imaging
  • Nursing or clinical/technical (radiology, CVT, perfusion, respiratory) degree required
  • Clinical Trainer experience preferred
  • Must possess a passion for training and education, have previous teaching experience, and be recognized as a “clinical expert”
  • Must have strong communication skills, able to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written in both German and English)
  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills including attention to detail
  • Strong track record of building effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders (physicians, peers, leadership, etc.) to enable clinical success
  • Must be able to lead a team without direct authority and have strong interpersonal, coaching, and motivational skills
  • Must be self-reliant and compliance-oriented; takes initiative, results-oriented, open-minded, and approachable
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, procedures, and evaluation criteria
  • High degree of flexibility and willingness to travel extensively (minimum 75%)

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 66,500 EUR to 107,065 EUR.

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
