The Senior Manager, Product- Pump Systems, Innovation Excellence is responsible for overseeing existing products, with a focus on Pump Systems throughout their lifecycle. This position will spearhead multiple priorities and projects, cultivating alignment with research and development, operational and quality initiatives.

This leader will be responsible for supporting innovation to scale our core business innovations with the highest standards of quality, design for manufacturability and positive impact to patients . This role requires strong product development experience, product design expertise, with ability to drive initiatives, and a passion for fostering collaboration across the business to deliver results.

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Support and implement innovation strategies that align with organizational goals and drive business growth.

  • Lead and manage product lifecycle initiatives across existing products (with focus on CP, 5.5 and RP pump systems) providing direction and mentorship to drive high performance.

  • Foster a culture of driving innovation while building confidence in the scale of high quality products.

  • Cultivate prioritization and focus across Lifecyle initiatives through strong cross-functional, platform and business need awareness

​​Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • This role requires successful collaboration in a matrix environment, with ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders to execute the product vision.

  • This role bridges design, development operational and supply chain to drive execution and ensure scale of high quality products that meet patients needs.

  • Contributes to planning and administration of programs and initiatives that delivery product enhancements, quality and/or operational scale needs

  • Partner with supply chain teams to optimize sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and logistics for accessories and packaging components

Product Design, Deployment & Sustainability

  • Lead initiatives that provide enhancements of existing products, or drive operational efficiency.

  • Lead initiatives supporting product life cycle and WW commercialization.

  • Shape and implement strategies for product design for manufacturing (DFM).

  • Provide Design expertise and support for Sourcing and External initiatives for existing products

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product features and specifications.

  • Leverage Product Development & Design expertise to support escalations and triage sustaining requests across the pump systems.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team with capabilities in Design, product development, and life cycle engineering.

  • Drive team performance through coaching, development, and performance management.

  • Proactively creates a purpose driven environment by aligning Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives with the strategies and goals of the team and enterprise.

  • Active engagement in the updates of our SOPs and creation of best practice playbooks

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, with a strong focus on design, product development, lifecycle management, and sustaining engineering.

  • Strong technical background in engineering, with expertise in cardiovascular product platforms

  • Proven experience in leadership roles, with a track record of managing high-performing teams and driving strategic initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, quality management systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.

  • Exceptional project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.

  • A passion for innovation and a commitment to driving excellence in all aspects of engineering projects.

Preferred:

  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to innovation and problem-solving.

  • Ability to influence and build partnerships across multiple functions.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 - $235,750.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401k).This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program. Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits: Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year. Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year. Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year. Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year.
