Technical Building Equipment (TBE) Expert (all genders)

In this position, you will use your expertise in building services engineering with a focus on Technical Building Equipment (TBE) to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our buildings and technical infrastructure at the Monheim site.

You will manage projects independently, support the operational units in day-to-day business, and contribute valuable best practices through your network within regional and global expert groups.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You ensure the consistent application of technical and operational standards at the site and coordinate their implementation — for example, through the cross-departmental harmonization of techniques and working methods in project execution for laboratories, greenhouses, chemical storage facilities, as well as energy and utility infrastructure
  • You take lead responsibility for planning investments with a focus on TBE, implement them, and monitor their execution; additionally, you participate as Discipline Lead in the planning and realization of larger investments at the Monheim site
  • You support the operational units in day-to-day business with your technical expertise and are reliably available during peak workloads or to cover vacation absences
  • You ensure compliance with all applicable local technical and legal regulations as well as internal corporate guidelines in the area of Technical Building Equipment
  • You actively contribute to regional, interdisciplinary working groups and participate in the updating and further development of standard scope-of-service specifications for framework agreements with key suppliers and service providers
  • You proactively participate in regional and global expert groups at Bayer and help identify best practices and implement them at the site

WHO YOU ARE

  • Completed university degree (BA, MSc) in building services engineering or a comparable education
  • Several years of professional experience as a project engineer in planning and project execution
  • Comprehensive experience with technical projects in the area of Technical Building Equipment, particularly with a focus on cooling and heating supply
  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully in a matrix organization
  • Persuasive and audience-appropriate communication style
  • Good understanding of technical and commercial business processes as well as strong negotiation skills
  • Fluent German skills and very good written and spoken English skills
