Responsible for all market supply and demand planning activities for the category. Deliver the category volume forecast and IBP monthly cycle. Leads the core cross functional IBP meetings for their category. Builds cross functional relationships and collaboration with commercial, finance and planning hub. Works with other Cluster Category Planning Managers for consistency across the OU.

Accountable for market supply planning related activity including repack, constraint management, inventory, SLOBs and NPI.

The Category Planning Manager is responsible for developing a high performing team of planners and for driving best practice, upskilling and transformation across the function. Visibly leads the digital transformation in planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides Strategic and Operational Leadership for the E2E Planning Process. Drives improvement actions across the E2E Supply Chain and Commercial. Partners with commercial to achieve net sales and profitability targets.
  • Leads the monthly demand planning process including preparation of pre DRM for their category. Oversees the engagement with demand forecasting and cross functional teams. Delivers documented assumptions explaining the forecast. Supports the Cluster and OU cycle with commentary on their category. Ensures volume and value alignment adhering to guidelines for value only adjustments
  • Owns delivery of SFA, SFB targets and analysis. Leads OTIF loss root cause analysis for the category.
  • Leads Cluster Category Supply Planning activities. Works collaboratively with Planning Hub to minimise service risks and realise opportunities , explain forecast evolution, manage inventory and execute change initiatives. Attends SCIM2 and escalate appropriate topics to Cluster Customer Service Lead for SCIM3 discussion.
  • Accountable for repack activity in the category. Ensures supply availability, balance priorities with other finished goods. Cost control for repack spend.
  • Delivers Inventory Targets, manages SLOBs, write offs, residuals and donations to minimise costs . Provides explanations and actions to manage costs and inventory levels to target.
  • Leads and develops the team of planners. Ensures that category planners are working to OU process standards.
  • Leads the NPI process across planning.
  • Owns the Allocation Process during Supply Constraints.

Qualifications & Experience

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field
  • 8+ years of Demand or Supply Planning experience
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • In depth working knowledge of IBP Process.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and upskill teams.
  • Can adapt to rapidly changing environment and market conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of sales / commercial processes
  • Understanding of E2E supply chain processes.
  • Ability to negotiate and work cross-functionally
