About the Opportunity

Primary Job Function:


  • Govern EPD's global product flow framework, ensuring financial, tax, customs, trade compliance, and supply chain requirements are reflected in efficient and compliant physical and financial product flows.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for product flow design and supply chain network considerations, supporting strategic sourcing decisions, new product introductions (NPI), biosimilars, samples, and commercial portfolio expansion.
  • Coordinate the evaluation, approval, documentation, and communication of new product flows and flow changes across global, regional, and local stakeholders.
  • Maintain and continuously improve product flow governance, databases, tools, and processes to ensure accurate documentation, financial compliance, and transparency across the EPD supply chain network.
  • Lead and execute cross-functional supply chain projects related to product flow optimization, network changes, warehouse and distribution setup, compliance requirements, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Provide guidance, training, and expert support to Supply Chain Operations and other functions on product flow models, operational processes, and implementation requirements.

Core Job Responsibilities:

Product Flow Governance & Complianc e


  • Develop and maintain product flow governance documentation, processes, and communication materials.
  • Maintain the global EPD Product Flow Database and related master data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Manage the end-to-end approval process for new product flows and modifications to existing flows.
  • Ensure compliance with Abbott policies and external requirements related to transfer pricing, tax, VAT, customs, trade compliance, and legal entity structures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for product flow-related inquiries across the organization.
  • Support sourcing decisions, supply chain network optimization initiatives, and portfolio expansion projects.
  • Maintain landed-cost analyses and scenario evaluations to support business decision-making.
  • Assess operational, financial, compliance, and service implications of alternative supply chain network configurations.

Product Flow Council (PFC)


  • Organize, facilitate, and lead Product Flow Council meetings.
  • Review, assess, and present proposed product flows and supply chain network changes.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment across Supply Chain, Finance, Tax, Customs & Trade, Quality, Regulatory, Legal, Commercial, and Operations functions.
  • Monitor execution of approved actions and ensure timely implementation of decisions from a Supply Chain Operations perspective, including master data setup, pricing, plant extensions, transportation lanes, and related operational requirements.

Project related (linked to flows or other SC ops related projects )


  • Lead Supply Chain Operations projects and workstreams related to product flow changes, network optimization, warehouse transitions, relabeling activities, product launches, biosimilars, and operational improvements.
  • Drive the operational implementation of approved product flow and network changes, ensuring operational readiness, compliance, business continuity, and seamless execution.
  • Define and manage implementation plans, timelines, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder alignment for Supply Chain Operations activities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and execute key operational deliverables related to master data, transportation, customer service, warehousing, systems, and distribution.
  • Track project progress, milestones, risks, dependencies, and timelines, ensuring appropriate governance and timely execution of Supply Chain Operations activities.
  • Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior leadership, project sponsors, and key stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, service performance, compliance, and cost optimization.

Samples related

  • Provide guidance on sample-related logistics, inventory movement, and compliance requirements.
  • Flow Determination for Samples
  • Biosimilar Samples (TMT, Registration/Submission, Commercial) - coordination with the TPM on sample availability, documentation, service PO request

NPI related, including Biosimilars


  • Act as the Supply Chain Product Flow lead for NPI projects, including biosimilars and portfolio acquisitions.
  • Coordinate product flow setup and supply chain execution requirements for product launches, onboarding activities, and implementation projects.
  • Ensure readiness of all operational supply chain elements, including product flows, transportation validation, transportation lanes, warehouse setup, systems, and related master data.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful launch execution and uninterrupted product supply.

Minimum Experience / Training Required:

Experience & Qualification s


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical supply chain, distribution, transportation, and logistics operations.
  • Experience in customs and trade compliance within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain processes, business operations, and end-to-end supply chain functions.
  • Proven project management experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience with ERP and supply chain systems, including SAP ECC, SAP APO, TrackWise, Planisware, and DARIUS.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Visio, and Power BI.
