As a Laboratory Technician in Peptide Research, you will synthesize and purify modified peptides that move early research projects forward. Working hands-on in the lab alongside dedicated project teams, you will help mature the discovery pipeline behind Novo Nordisk’s oral and injectable biologics. Your work will strengthen the science that aims to improve the lives of people living with serious chronic diseases — starting from the earliest research phase.

What you’ll bring

• Holding an education as a Laboratory Technician (Laborant) and ideally have experience from either industry or an academic setting.
• Having experience and knowledge within some of the areas of organic synthesis, peptide chemistry, preparative HPLC and/or ion-exchange chromatography is required. Experience with organic synthesis is an advantage.
• Having knowledge and experience with standard analytical techniques (HPLC, UPLC, LC-MS, etc.) and can interpret the data and troubleshoot the analytical instruments.
• Are self-driven and organised and proactively find solutions or seek guidance if challenges occur.
• Are motivated to expand your skill set and adopt new work routines in line with technological advances within your field of expertise

What you’ll do

• Independent planning and execution of synthesis and purification of modified proteins and peptides.
• Analysis and characterization using UPLC and LC-MS
• Interpreting experimental data and preparing findings for discussion with the project chemistry teams
• Daily maintenance of instruments and troubleshooting
• Development and implementation of novel automated workflows

Who you’ll work with

You will join Peptide Research, a well-established part of Therapeutics Discovery within Research & Development, where colleagues explore bold scientific ideas and advance them towards clinical testing. The team designs, synthesises and applies technology-driven innovation to strengthen the discovery pipeline for oral and injectable biologics.

Based in Måløv, you will work in a multi-national scientific team across three closely connected departments that share office and lab facilities and collaborate dynamically. Your closest partners will be colleagues in dedicated project chemistry teams, where combining different perspectives and expertise keeps the science moving.
