A day as Senior Director, Sites Finance Lead Germany (m/f/d)

In the role as Senior Director, Sites Finance Lead Germany (m/f/d), you are the finance business partner to Ulm Pharma and Ulm Bio Site Leadership Team who provides financial insight, strategic guidance and leadership to enable effective decision making that improves site business performance, enhances efficiency, sustainable competitiveness and supports profitable growth. This position is responsible for leading the TGO Finance team in Germany, ensuring strong financial partnership and operational support.

Your task among other include:

  • Serving as an influential member of the site leadership team, who impacts decision making and takes an active role in promoting cross-site initiatives, team work and collaboration across site functions.
  • Providing financial insights to the site leadership team to ensure that short and long-term business decisions are based on strong financial reasoning.
  • Fulfilling financial management reporting to Sites Leadership Team, TGO and Corporate Finance, ensuring relevant, accurate, timely, complete and compliant reporting.
  • Leading the site's annual planning and forecasting processes in collaboration with Ulm Site General Manager and Leadership Team, ensuring business and financial drivers are transparent.
  • Providing reliable, complete, timely and comprehensive standard costs for all new and existing bulk and finished products manufactured or/and packed at site as well as third party products for which a TGO activity is provided at the site.
  • Exploring, analyzing, facilitating and leveraging efficiency initiatives to improve operating profit and cash flow, as well as lead continuous improvement in finance processes.
  • Enabling effective management of the site’s capital expenditure, inventory and fixed assets.
  • Guiding site on all applicable financial policies and guidelines and ensure adherence.
  • Identifying, recruiting, developing and retaining qualified financial professionals to provide high-level service to the site.
  • Implementing managerial practices to ensure the team’s high performance, modeling Teva's values and leadership framework.
  • Building a team that has the necessary education, experience, training, technical expertise, customer service orientation, collaboration and other soft skills to achieve its goals.
  • Developing the team’s problem-solving skills and proactive approach to encourage continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring the team is competent and motivated to provide excellent professional service to the site.

Who are we searching for

You are

  • Experienced in managing and leading teams and developing talent
  • Strong in financial, analytical, and modelling skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insight
  • Resilient and reliable

You have

  • Academic degree in Accounting, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a financial role within an industrial company
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, management accounting, and costing methodologies
  • Also Strong business process knowledge and a deep understanding of the challenges and risks within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Advanced experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial control
  • Solid understanding of quality systems and manufacturing processes within industrial environments
  • Strong understanding of compliance and internal controls, including SOX requirements, local financial regulations, and accounting policies
  • At least basic theoretical and practical knowledge of project management and process improvement methodologies
  • Also at least a basic knowledge of OPEX principles, tools, and operational excellence frameworks.
  • Proficiency with SAP ERP, Advanced Excel/ PowerPoint, BI tools (Power BI, Qlik Sense), IBP, AI
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
