AI Transformation Lead

We are looking for an experienced AI Transformation Lead to drive AOP Health’s enterprise-wide AI agenda and transform growing AI adoption into a scalable, governed, and business-focused capability. In this role, you will define and execute the AI strategy, prioritize high-value use cases, establish practical governance frameworks, and partner with business functions to deliver measurable value through responsible AI implementation. This is a strategic transformation role with a strong focus on business enablement, governance, change management, and cross-functional collaboration.

What Your Day To Day Will Look Like

  • Own and drive AOP’s AI strategy, roadmap, governance framework, and enterprise-wide use-case portfolio, ensuring alignment with business priorities and measurable value creation.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Medical, Regulatory, Quality, Pharmacovigilance, Commercial, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Corporate Functions to identify, prioritize, and implement high-impact AI opportunities.
  • Lead the responsible adoption of AI technologies by establishing governance standards, risk management practices, safe-use guidelines, and appropriate oversight for regulated and business-critical use cases.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between business teams, IT, data, security, legal, compliance, and external vendors to successfully deliver AI-enabled initiatives and scalable solutions.
  • Drive organizational change and capability building through training, ambassador networks, best practices, and adoption programs that embed AI into everyday workflows.
  • Monitor AI adoption, business impact, risks, and costs through KPIs and executive reporting while continuously evaluating emerging technologies and industry developments.

Your Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Digital Transformation, Data, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in digital transformation, AI/data product management, enterprise technology, IT business partnering, technology consulting, or a similar role.
  • Proven ability to translate business challenges into technology-enabled solutions, roadmaps, business cases, and investment priorities.
  • Hands-on understanding of generative AI tools, AI-enabled enterprise platforms, data-driven workflows, and emerging AI operating models.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across senior leadership, business functions, IT, governance teams, and external partners.
  • Practical understanding of data governance, information security, privacy, vendor management, and risk management principles.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry is strongly preferred. Familiarity with GxP environments, quality systems, validation concepts, and AI-related regulations such as the EU AI Act is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills, combined with a pragmatic, results-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are considered a plus.

  • Gross annual salary provided for this function is a minimum of EUR 54.642, - based on full-time employment (38,5h/week). Any potential overpayment depends on professional experience and qualifications.
