Role level: Internship

Your role:

  • As a member of the Global Drug Substance Development, you will work with a group of motivated scientists who are committed to developing and implementing solutions to support the production of new biological therapeutics.
  • Within this group, your mission will focus on understanding cell metabolism and developing a perfusion platform process, especially medium improvement in deep well plates and/or bioreactors ranging from 250 mL.
  • You will review the current state of knowledge in cell metabolism, medium development and propose/develop new chemical formulations for media, testing them for performance in deep well plates and/or bioreactors.
  • You will program and use robotic platforms to perform screening of various medium formulations and evaluate their performance in cell culture.
  • You will be trained to work independently in the lab, including cell thawing, cell expansion, working under laminar flow hoods, and in-process control.
  • You will actively participate in experimental design. Additionally, you will analyze and present your data in project discussions and write a comprehensive report to conclude your internship.

Your profile:

  • Master/engineer student in biotechnology or other related fields
  • Highly motivated and autonomous
  • Ability to conceptualize, solve complex challenges, and communicate about your project
  • Great team spirit
  • Previous experience in cell culture/aseptic handling is a plus
  • Good written and oral knowledge in English, French is a plus
  • Knowledge in Python is a plus
