Your new role

As a Senior Outsourcing Professional, you will be responsible for driving the clinical outsourcing process across the Novo Nordisk portfolio, from the request for proposal through to a signed contract. You will work in close collaboration with Global Trial Portfolio teams, Corporate Procurement, Legal and external suppliers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and driving the request for proposal process.
  • Providing operational support for clinical outsourcing activities.
  • Managing supplier relationships and supporting effective collaboration with external suppliers.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for supplier issues and escalations.
  • Contributing to the integration of the clinical outsourcing strategy into development projects.

Your day-to-day work will involve a varied mix of these responsibilities and a high degree of interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. As part of Global Trial Portfolio, your main office will be at our site in Søborg, Denmark.

Your new department

Clinical Partnerships supports Novo Nordisk’s Global Trial Portfolio projects by driving and executing the clinical contracting process, from the request for proposal through to a signed contract, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The department is responsible for contracting, supplier management and supplier oversight within the clinical area.

You will join the Clinical Partnerships team called Outsourcing Planning & Project Collaboration, which consists of 11 dedicated colleagues. You will experience a high degree of individual responsibility in an engaging and professional environment.

Clinical Partnerships is part of Global Trial Portfolio. Global Trial Portfolio is responsible for managing development worldwide, from early clinical trials through to product introduction. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process meets uniform global standards, regulations and business ethics.

Your skills and qualifications

You have experience in sourcing or in a position closely related to vendor management within the pharmaceutical or clinical research industry. You are skilled in supplier interactions and understand clinical development disciplines. If you do not have experience in every area described, you bring relevant experience, effectiveness, independence and an eagerness to learn.

We expect you to bring:

  • A minimum of five years of work experience with good results.
  • Experience in sourcing or a role closely related to vendor management within the pharmaceutical or clinical research industry.
  • Skills in supplier interactions and an understanding of clinical development disciplines.
  • Attention to detail and an interest in improving or simplifying processes.
  • Experience of working as a team player in international and diverse professional groups, together with a strong interest in business perspectives.

The complexity of sourcing solutions requires curiosity and an innovative mindset. Creative and solution-oriented thinking will therefore be key to succeeding in this role.

Salary:  For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 651,000.00 to 956,900.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
