Sustainability Data Project Manager

We have a great opportunity in Sustainability Data Solutions and AI in Novo Nordisk for you who can combine sustainability expertise with strong technology acumen to translate environmental and social challenges into impactful data solutions. For you who can convert strategic priorities into data-driven insights and analytics use cases. Then you might be our new Sustainability Data Project Manager working as part of the Sustainability Data Solutions and AI team in Novo Nordisk.

The position

The main focus in this role is to identify, establish, and maintain accurate data from source-system to final data metrics and to migrate these data streams into our newly established Sustainability Data foundation or our corporate wide reporting system, SOFI. The role partners closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, define requirements, improve data quality, and drive data-driven decision-making.

As part of the Sustainability Data Solutions and AI team, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Work as project manager in the intersection between Sustainability and Technology
  • Lead the prioritisation and delivery of high-value analytics use cases, translating business needs into actionable data-driven solutions.
  • Lead the integration and automation of source data from manual processes and legacy systems into sustainability data foundation.
  • Create transparency and availability of sustainability data across the organisation and develop insights in relation to other business and operational metrics among other things BI solutions
  • Develop and support the digitalisation of sustainability data across Novo Nordisk entities following the FAIR principle (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable)

Qualifications

You are a structured creative thinker with an innovative and at the same time profound data and digital mindset. You enjoy to challenge status quo and build business sound analytics by the use of data. You thrive in a high pace environment, where things are anything but a steady state. Finally, are you able to build partnerships and trust across various functions and stakeholders.

The right candidate should have the following skills:

  • A degree in engineering, data science, management or business administration
  • Proven track record (+5 years) of working at the intersection of business and data i.e. preparing, analysing and designing data products within a larger corporate setting or through consultancy.
  • Experience with data analytics through BI or self-service analytics such as Alteryx, Power suite, Tableau, or Python
  • Experience with sustainability or modelling within the pharmaceutical industry or a large global organisation is considered an advantage.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organisation.

You are ambitious and naturally focused on your deliverable. You bring the ability to deep dive into data and also to communicate with those with less technical insight than you. Finally, you have strong communication skills, both oral and written English. The ideal candidate excels at building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across different functions.

About the team

The Sustainability Data Solutions and AI team is part of the Sustainability Strategy and Insights Department in Novo Nordisk. The team consists of highly skilled data analysts and data engineers who drive data analytics on the sustainability agenda on behalf of Novo Nordisk. The Department is currently consisting of 7 people in HQ, 2 colleagues in Poland and 2 colleagues in Bangalore, India. We work closely with stakeholders across Novo Nordisk to implement the sustainability strategy across our entire value chain.

Salary:  For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 651,000DKK to 956,900DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.​

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.​

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level,  location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.​
