As Finance Partner in R&D Portfolio Finance, you will help set the investment direction for Novo Nordisk's R&D pipeline. You will partner with project teams and senior stakeholders, turning complex project information into clear financial insights that support sound investment decisions across the project lifecycle. Your analysis and recommendations help teams prioritise, plan and execute – so promising science can move towards treatments for people living with serious chronic diseases.

What you'll bring

The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree within Business, Economics, Finance or Life Science, and has gained some relevant work experience. In addition to that, you'll be a strong fit if you have :

• A passion for financial decision-making and a solid problem-solving toolbox.

• An analytical approach, translating data, assumptions and project information into clear financial insights and recommendations.

• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trust-based relationships with project teams and colleagues across functions.

• Expert-level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

What you'll do

You will act as trusted finance partner to a set of R&D projects, providing financials sparring, analysis and recommendations that support sound investment decisions. Your work will include:

• Partnering with selected R&D projects, working closely with project teams and senior stakeholders, to support financial decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

• Driving budgets, forecasts, business cases and financial analyses, ensuring transparency on costs, risks, opportunities and value impact.

• Translating complex project information into clear insights and recommendations for project governance, portfolio discussions and management reporting.

• Helping project teams understand the financial implications of development plans, timelines, resource needs and investment decisions.

• Driving financial management and analysis of the total R&D project portfolio, for example during budget rounds.

• Taking ownership of high-impact analyses and processes that help teams prioritise, plan and execute effectively.

Who you'll work with

You will join R&D Portfolio Finance, part of R&D Finance and anchored within R&D Performance, Finance and Governance. R&D Finance is a young and ambitious group of four teams, with colleagues in Denmark and the US and support from Global Business Services in India, responsible for the financial management of the R&D organisation and pipeline.

You'll work closely with project teams and senior stakeholders across the organisation, as well as with Finance Partners across R&D Finance to align, share best practices and strengthen financial steering across the portfolio. The team's ambition is to create impact through financial steering and partnering, combining strong functional competencies with a solid understanding of the business.

Salary:  For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 570,000.00 to 838,100.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
