Your new role
As Legal & Compliance Student Assistant, you will work two days per week, supporting the Swedish organisation across legal, data protection and business ethics matters. The position runs from end of 2026 through 2027, with the possibility to extend for the duration of your law studies. You will enjoy a high level of flexibility to plan your work around your study schedule.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts on behalf of the Swedish organisation
- Advising on privacy-related issues and supporting data protection compliance
- Optimising compliance processes and conducting legal research on topics relevant to the business
- Preparing and delivering trainings for the organisation on legal and compliance topics
- Deep-diving into compliance matters such as the promotion of pharmaceuticals and collaboration with healthcare organisations and academia
- Guiding internal stakeholders on how to meet external and internal requirements in projects that support patients, healthcare personnel and decision-makers

As part of International Operations, you will join our largest operational unit. Within International Operations, you will join the Swedish Legal & Compliance department, a close-knit team of four. You will collaborate primarily within the European and Canadian region, where the Legal, Ethics & Compliance organisation consists of about 150 people. Ultimately, you will be part of a Global Legal organisation of around 700 colleagues worldwide. The Swedish organisation itself gathers more than 100 people, giving you the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across functions while being connected to a truly global network. There is a possibility to work from either Malmö or Stockholm, and we offer flexible ways of working. If you are based outside these areas, some travel to the office will be needed.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a curious and driven law student who is eager to explore the intersection of commercial law, data protection and the pharmaceutical industry. You'll bring with you:
- Enrolment in a law degree with an expected graduation within the next two years
- A strong academic record and a genuine interest in commercial law and data protection
- An organised, detail-oriented and structured approach to your work
- Self-motivation, a collaborative mindset and a willingness to take ownership of your tasks
- Openness to undertaking tasks in new and unfamiliar areas of law
- Fluency in Swedish and strong communication and presentation skills in English, as most work is conducted in English

Salary and Benefits: This position is hourly paid. For this position, the hourly base rate is 161,3 based on an assessment of relevant factors such as experience, educational background, demonstrated competencies, and the specific skills required for the position. In addition to the hourly base rate, Student Assistants are entitled to a pension scheme (currently 10% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution).
