Analytical Development Manager (all genders)

As Analytical Development Manager (all genders) at Bayer Consumer Health, Steigerwald Arzneimittel GmbH in Darmstadt, you will lead a team to develop and validate analytical methods for innovative plant-based products, manage laboratory operations and investments, and drive digital transformation in our Biological R&D division.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You lead the development, validation, and transfer of analytical methods to enable the delivery of new plant-based products
  • Efficient operation of the analytical development laboratory, ensuring technical performance, implementation, and maintenance of effective processes, equipment, and systems are your responsibility
  • You accelerate the digitization process by introducing new systems
  • You manage the investment plan for the laboratory and lead investment projects as needed
  • Leading the analytical team, providing technical guidance, and ensuring training and development of the team are part of your function
  • You contribute to innovation in the plant sector and the development of new plant-based products

WHO YOU ARE

  • You hold a university degree (PhD) in Life Sciences, ideally Analytical Chemistry or a related field
  • You bring several years of experience in phytomedicine or the FMCG/OTC industry
  • You have a proven track record in developing new analytical methods
  • Your knowledge of GMP and GLP requirements is solid
  • Excellent interpersonal leadership skills with initial experience in team management define you
  • You are a self-starter with a proactive attitude and strong drive to achieve results
  • Problem-solving orientation, decision-making ability, and networking skills come easily to you
  • Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) round off your profile
