Intern in the Cluster Process Technology (all genders)

For Cluster-Process Technologies, we are looking for an intern (all genders) for our formulation technology laboratory. You will conduct experiments in the field of formulation development of chemical active ingredients, analyze samples and discuss the results with the project leaders. Additionally, you should be able to independently analyze the measured data.

You will be guided on-the-job through detailed documentation of the work steps, step by step by experienced colleagues. This position allows you to participate in projects in a colloidal chemistry and process engineering environment. You will have the opportunity to gain insight into different Bayer divisions.

YOUR TASKS AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

  • You will familiarize with and deepen knowledge in the field of agrochemical formulation development

  • You prepare and analyze agrochemical formulation prototypes in the laboratory using a variety of ingredients to identify suitable formulation candidates

  • You safely conduct laboratory experiments in the field of formulation technology (e. g., preparation of suspensions and operation of rheometers, colloidal chemistry experiments) according to experimental protocols

  • You potentially implement improvements and optimizations to the respective experimental setup

  • You evaluate data (if applicable, including image analysis), visualize results and plan further experiments

WHO YOU ARE

  • You are enrolled during the internship in your Master studies in the field of chemical engineering, process engineering, (physical) chemistry or a comparable field of study

  • Prior knowledge in the field of colloid science and formulation development is desirable

  • You bring practical experience in conducting laboratory experiments

  • You are driven by initiative and an independent, goal-oriented working style while being able to work in a team

  • You have a high willingness to learn and enjoy challenging and new tasks

  • You have good to very good English language skills, ideally also basic knowledge of the German language or better
