About the Role:

Market Access is established as a mission critical factor for pharma largely determining the commercial value of all products and projects of Bayer. In an increasingly restrictive and complex pricing and reimbursement environment delivering true value for all stakeholders, HTAs, payers and in the end, patients, is a prerequisite to sustain commercial viability for the company and to maximize the opportunities emerging from launch brands, mature brands and an innovative pipeline.

This role will lead and work on the development and implementation of global pricing strategies and solutions that maximize brand/pipeline value with a focus on the key global markets, while providing a framework for the world.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • You lead all aspects related to the development and implementation of a global pricing and reimbursement (P&R) strategy and policy throughout the product lifecycle or for specific phases, supporting brand-related outcomes.

  • You collaborate closely with the global access lead to ensure alignment with the overall market access strategy, contributing to pricing, HEOR deliverables, real-world evidence (RWE) planning, payer communications, and stakeholder engagement plans.

  • You lead the seamless collaboration and co-creation of P&R deliverables with country and customer teams, supporting national and sub-national strategy implementation through innovative contracting and negotiation strategies.

  • You achieve business impact by steering the pricing processes and influencing access leads, product teams, and key decision-making bodies on all pricing-related topics for the brand.

  • You champion value creation, optimization, and maintenance by tracking P&R KPIs and applying gross-to-net (GTN) analytics across the portfolio.

  • You lead pricing excellence initiatives and act as a role model for customer-relevant innovation and change management within the organization.

  • You drive world-class pricing capabilities by leveraging insights into global pricing systems, payer trends, and value drivers informed by customer insights and market research.

Who You Are:

  • You have an advanced academic degree, preferably an MBA or PhD in economics with a focus on Pricing, Strategic Planning, Marketing, or a similar field.

  • You have extensive professional experience in Market Access, Pricing, and Reimbursement within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with a multinational company. E xperience in contracting or negotiating is a strong plus.

  • You demonstrate strong customer orientation and commercial acumen, with hands-on experience in regional and/or country-level roles.

  • You have a proven track record of developing effective pricing strategies and policies, including successful pharmaceutical product launches and external stakeholder engagement.

  • You possess detailed knowledge of global Pricing and Reimbursement systems, with local pricing experience in the US market considered a strong advantage.

  • You apply sharp analytical skills and strategic thinking to solve complex problems and deliver commercial value, even in uncertain environments.

  • You lead effectively within a matrix structure, collaborating across rapidly evolving teams and aligning with product team priorities in fast-paced, 90-day operating cycles.

  • You communicate fluently and persuasively in English, both verbally and in writing.
