GBS Business Performance Manager

The Position

Are you driven by the challenge of transforming data into actionable insights and enabling performance excellence on a global scale? At Boehringer Ingelheim’s Global Business Services (GBS), we are seeking a Business Performance Manager to join our innovative Governance, Enablement & Strategy (GES) team. In this pivotal role, you will shape our global performance management framework, foster data-driven decision-making, and contribute to strategic improvements across our international organization.

This position is part time eligible with 80 %.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Leveraging dashboard data and structured KPI frameworks, you will analyze the performance of Global Business Services to generate actionable recommendations and drive transparency through multi-level KPI structures.
  • Coordinating and executing key performance management initiatives, you will focus on benchmarking, SLA governance, and management reporting, while contributing to AI-enabled analytics and scalable reporting solutions.
  • Facilitating performance review meetings with senior stakeholders, you will ensure alignment and data-driven decision-making.
  • Taking ownership of global portfolio management processes and systems, you will further develop the portfolio management tool landscape and reporting structures.
  • By defining and documenting global portfolio management standards, you will drive continuous improvement and translate business requirements into system enhancements in close collaboration with IT.
  • Leading portfolio management-related communication and training activities, you will ensure process adherence and manage escalations where required.
  • Collaborating closely with country teams and cross-functional departments, you will gather feedback, identify improvement opportunities, and enhance overall performance.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Natural Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMI or equivalent) is considered an advantage
  • Several years of progressive experience in business performance management, analytics, reporting, or related capabilities in a global or shared services environment, with a solid understanding of end-to-end GBS processes
  • Strong understanding of KPI frameworks, hands-on experience with reporting and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel), and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proven experience in leading projects, driving change initiatives, and influencing and collaborating across matrix and cross-functional structures
  • Excellent communication skills in an international environment, combined with a structured and entrepreneurial thinking approach to foster a business partner mindset
  • Fluent English is required; German is considered an asset
