The Position
Are you motivated to support impactful HR initiatives and contribute to meaningful global Total Rewards work?
In this position, you will play an important role in assisting the design, coordination, and implementation of global Total Rewards activities, with a particular focus on job evaluation and skill-based role architecture (“Skill Catalyst”). Your work will help strengthen organizational health, promote pay transparency, and enhance career visibility for employees across the globe.
As part of Boehringer Ingelheim’s global Total Rewards community, you will collaborate with colleagues across regions, help prepare and roll out global projects, and ensure that tools, processes, and documentation are maintained accurately and effectively. Tasks & responsibilities
- Working closely with our Global Senior Manager Total Rewards, you will support the translation of HR and business needs into clear concepts, documentation, and materials for global Total Rewards initiatives.
- By researching and applying industry practices and trends, you will evaluate and refine job evaluation methodologies and processes that contribute to organizational health.
- You will contribute to the maintenance and coordination of the global job evaluation framework and governance model, helping ensure consistent application and adherence to standards across R/OPUs.
- You will support implementing decision-making criteria and processes for the periodic review and adaptation of the Skill Framework and Role Architecture.
- You will help maintain the global catalogue of standard jobs within Boehringer’s skill-based role architecture (“Skill Catalyst”), including updates, version tracking, and accurate documentation in SAP SuccessFactors.
- Working closely with stakeholders such as HRBPs, CoE colleagues, GBS HR, IT, and external partners, you will coordinate requests, gather input, and support intake and approval processes for job profile updates.
- To enable smooth adoption of global solutions, you will prepare training materials, presentations, and guides, and execute training for HR teams, GBS HR, and other stakeholders. Additionally, you will provide guidance and support to local HR teams.
- By monitoring available data, you will identify basic trends, ensure data consistency, and help continuously improve processes, documentation, and governance materials to meet evolving business needs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Design, Fiannce, Consulting, or a related field
- Few years of experience and expertise in HR, with expertise in Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits) or similar strategic HR roles, including job evaluation methodologies and tools
- Exposure to skill frameworks or role concepts in an international context is a plus
- Proven experience in HRIS (e.g., SuccessFactors) or Total Rewards systems management, ideally in a global context and with strong project management skills
- Expertise in stakeholder management combined with excellent consulting and communication skills and the ability to present complex topics in a simplified way and tailor them to different target audiences
- Analytical and structured thinker, including interpreting data, managing version control, and maintaining audit trails, with a collaborative mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, combined with an understanding of employment regulations and practices
