
Lead Innovation & Transformation
The Position
As the Lead Innovation & Transformation you have an influential role shaping the future of the global Legal & Compliance Function. You will design and implement legal operation strategies to ensure that the global Legal & Compliance Function keeps track with the transformational needs the future will provide. In this role you will lead in crafting new innovative functional solutions and oversee emerging legal operations trends to strategically navigate the organization through transformation initiatives.
As a transformation leader, you will work closely with the Head of Legal Operations as well as various senior leaders of the organization to design the future of tomorrow's Legal & Compliance Function.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Contribute to the functional strategy of Legal & Compliance by evaluating mid- to long-term Legal Operations strategies impacting the global operating model of the Legal & Compliance Function.
- Establish and lead innovative initiatives, including pilot programs for emerging technologies and new service delivery models.
- Lead functional transformation initiatives within the legal function and broader organization.
- Monitor legal operations trends across industries.
- Develop legal department performance measurement systems aligned with business objectives.
- Define best practice for lean and risk-oriented setup of legal processes.
- Act as key advisor on legal operations strategy and its impact on business objectives.
Requirements
- Excellent to good Master's Degree (e.g. MBA, IT, Law)
- Several years of fully dedicated Legal Operations experience in a multinational legal department or multinational law firm /consultancy practice
- Proven project leadership competencies to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong interest in legal operational topics (operational excellence, process design, data-driven assessment & judgement, challenge the status quo).
- Effective, proactive and pragmatic collaborator with a highly developed executer attitude and the ability to maintain an optimistic outlook.
- Profound negotiation and communication skills including the ability to interact with senior management within the organization.
- Excellent language skills in English mandatory, German language skills are desirable
