Senior Legal Operations Manager

The Position

As Senior Legal Operations Manager in Corporate Legal Contracting Services, you will take on a key role in transforming, shaping, and driving the evolution of Boehringer Ingelheim's legal support model for contracting. This position offers you the unique opportunity to actively contribute to the future-proofing strategy of our Legal Function. Empowered by your expertise, creativity, and forward-thinking mindset, you will have the chance to reimagine contracting processes and develop innovative models for delivering legal services. 

Tasks & responsibilities 

  • You will contribute to the implementation of a value-driven and effective legal service delivery model for contracting, leveraging the entire bandwidth of delivery models.
  • Your focus will be on identifying opportunities to enhance operational excellence through standardization, lean process design, and automation.
  • By evaluating existing structures, you will explore the potential for globalizing or regionalizing legal support to further streamline and synchronize Boehringer Ingelheim's legal support framework.
  • Through the integration of innovative technologies, you will help evolve our legal support model into a system-enabled and future-ready solution.
  • Taking the lead on global initiatives, you will provide guidance and expertise to drive operational excellence across the organization. 

Requirements 

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) with several years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with long-term experience, in Law, Economics, Data Science, Informatics, Information Management, or related business fields
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, global environment with a proactive and collaborative work ethic
  • Interest in and experience with legal operational topics (operational excellence, process design, data-driven assessment & judgement, challenge the status quo)
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to analyze, design and implement effective processes
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, proactively and pragmatically and maintain an optimistic outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and the ability to influence across functions and cultures
