Position Summary
The Sr Director Strategic Capabilities will lead core competencies in Strategic Account Management, Pricing, Tenders & Contracting, Sustainability, and Value Partnerships across Germany. The role focuses on advancing solution-driven models, strengthening strategic partnerships, driving long-term value creation, and supporting sustainable mutual growth with large healthcare groups, preferred healthcare networks, and group purchasing organizations.
The position also drives digital transformation in commercial processes—leveraging automation, AI, and innovative contracting models to increase efficiency, value, and competitiveness.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Account Management
- Lead and strengthen strategic account management as a core capability for deeper partnerships and long-term mutual value creation.
- Drive the development of strategic accounts by co-creating solutions that generate accelerated, sustainable, and mutually beneficial growth.
Pricing, Tendering & Contracting:
- Transition from product-focused to solution-driven contracting models with clear account strategies.
- Drive automation and digitization in pricing, tendering, and contracting to improve efficiency and governance.
- Design value-based pricing frameworks that support sustainable commercial outcomes and reinforce long-term customer partnerships.
Sustainability & Value Partnerships:
- Integrate sustainability and value partnerships as differentiators in tenders and customer engagement strategies.
- Build collaborative partnerships that solve pressing healthcare challenges and deliver shared value across stakeholders.
Leadership & Innovation:
- Lead a high-performing team, fostering innovation in automation, robotics, AI, and digital transformation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement innovative solutions that support business growth and customer needs.
Additional (Occasional) Tasks:
- Contribute to strategic planning initiatives and the development and implementation of go-to-market models, ensuring alignment with evolving market dynamics and business priorities.
- Partner with key players in the German MedTech ecosystem to expand strategic partnerships.
- Support regulatory compliance and integrate sustainable business practices into pricing, tenders and contracting processes.
Main Requirements:
- Proven leadership experience in transforming and scaling strategic capabilities, ideally within complex healthcare or MedTech environments.
- Deep expertise in pricing, digital transformation, and solutions-based commercial models.
- Strong gravitas and presence, with excellent stakeholder management skills and deep knowledge of the German healthcare system.
- German and English are mandatory
