Job Description

For our research and development site in Schwabenheim (near Mainz) we are recruiting for a Senior Technical Product Data Manager (m/w/d) in a permanent and full-time position.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work in R&D IT projects in the field of animal health to support, implement and translate business requirements into system designs

  • Analyze and provide overviews on business process, data flows and calculations together with our scientists in the R&D laboratories

  • Translates business and user needs into proper testable and verifiable system

  • Act as a product owner and define the strategy for data analytics and provisioning of data in the central data platform.

  • requirement specifications. Works with IT development teams to ensure that they fully understand the specifications

  • Align and facilitate data clarification and harmonization between different laboratories where similar data and calculations are used

  • Proactive coordination and communication between the different business stakeholders, IT developers, compliance, quality unit and the supporting functions across the interdisciplinary team

  • Partner with the IT project team and global IT organizations to ensure the delivery of the solution.

  • Pro-actively advise, share, align and communicate between different business groups and laboratories across the different R&D laboratories.

  • Conduct User Tests and trainings

  • Act as a scientific counterpart for R&D for the operation and implementation of R&D applications with focus on data

  • Develops data analytics and reporting solutions by studying information need within R&Ds; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; follows the SDLC software development lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science or related STEM fields

  • Very good analytical and problem-solving skills working closely with the business areas in an interdisciplinary team

  • Domain knowledge in Chemistry / Biology with a computational emphasis and 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry

  • Skilled in data analytics in the field of chemistry and ideally biology (e.g. Spotfire, MS Power BI, Pipeline Pilot, SQL and related platforms)

  • Very good communication and coordination skills to align and manage activities with agile methodologies.

  • Can pro-active coordinate and operate independently.

  • Used to work in validated environment.

  • Expertise in agile way of working (scrum, kanban) applying and using tools like JIRA, Teams, Confluence

  • Dynamic personality with a passion for innovation and problem-solving

  • Fluent in English; excellent communication skills.
