The Position

The position is located in the Lead Identification Department, within the Discovery unit of the pRED’s Large Molecules Research, where the discovery of next generation biotherapeutics is the primary focus. We closely collaborate with our therapeutic areas and other functions to convert therapeutic hypotheses into innovative therapeutics.
Job mission
We are offering an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Lab Scientist (m/f/d) in High Throughput Screening for therapeutic antibodies. Your main focus will be the evaluation and implementation of innovative cell-based and biochemical high throughput technologies for phenotypic antibody screenings. Together with our diverse team of screening specialists, you will contribute to the generation of new therapeutic molecules for our drug discovery projects using your knowledge to design and execute experiments within your area of expertise.
Your impact
- With your expertise in hands-on assay development, execution and troubleshooting of cell-based and biochemical high-throughput assays you enable the identification of novel state-of-the art assay systems
- You actively strive to stay current with the latest assay technology and trends to enhance assay efficiency and output.
- Shaping and evolving our portfolio projects by discovering and characterizing next generation protein therapeutics is part of your mission
- You build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to develop new screening systems and drive technical innovation.
Your profile
- You are dedicated to a collaborative, learning-oriented, and self-organized culture to achieve project goals. Thrives in a dynamic, inclusive environment with full accountability and focus on priorities.
- We are looking for an experienced Lab Scientist and antibody screening expert with a strong creative and 3+ years in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry or equivalent experience in driving the evolution of cell-based and biochemical assay techniques for targeted and phenotypic approaches.
- You hold a Ph.D.-level degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related field.
- Experience with next level screening platforms for functional assays e.g. based on droplet microfluidics or other single cell screening technologies would be of great added value.
- You are resourceful and flexible in problem solving and in working in a collaborative and inclusive manner.
- You have strong oral and written communication skills and are proficient in presenting and discussing data in internal and external meetings.
This position is fixed-termed to two years.
Your final Scientific Career Ladder (SCL)-Title will be evaluated according to your individual scientific experience.
