The Position
Our Vision
Our vision is to develop a disruptive diagnostic platform that displays antigens of interest on a common platform, with a primary focus, though not limited to, the expression of intracellular viral antigens. This innovation aims to provide significant clinical benefits to our patients, particularly in the field of infectious diseases. We are seeking a Postdoc (m/f/d ) in the field of virology and particle production who possesses strong expertise in cellular and molecular virology, along with profound knowledge in downstream processes, and biochemical and biophysical analysis. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge, exciting, and promising antigen-expressing particle technology. The offered role provides the chance to become part of a motivated team that interacts with numerous functions and technologies within the company.
Our Team
This position is situated within the "Antigen Design & Protein Expression Technologies" department in R&D, where our multidisciplinary team focuses on developing and implementing innovative technologies for producing recombinant proteins optimized for diagnostic applications. Our team of approximately 35 professionals, including biologists, biochemists, and biotechnology engineers, employs world-leading methods in cell culture, protein chemistry, protein characterization, data processing, and modeling. We take pride in our team spirit, passion for science, and commitment to continuous learning to stay at the forefront of research. In this role, you will work at the interface between upstream process development and assay development, collaborating with experts to enhance diagnostic capabilities and improve patient outcomes.
Your Assets

You have a strong background in protein biochemistry, virology, and immunology, with expertise in downstream bioprocessing and biochemical and biophysical characterization. Experience in VLP s or virus preparation is beneficial.

Cellular and molecular biology expertise is a plus.

You know how to plan, execute, and document experiments.

You are goal-oriented, willing to perform wet-lab experiments, and eager to establish new techniques. Your personal drive is a key value for us.

Your Profile

You have completed your Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field, and possess a PhD degree in this field with at least 3 years of postdoc research experience.

You have profound theoretical and practical knowledge of the production of recombinant particles and sample preparation workflows to purify and analyse them.

You are familiar with state-of-the-art techniques in particle technology.

You have the ability to work independently and accurately, and to document your work thoroughly.

You are curious, enjoy working in a team, and have an initiative-driven performance motivation that is one of your strengths.
This position will be filled with effect from September 2025 and is limited to 2 years.
