The Position

As a Human Factors Engineer (d/f/m), you are the crucial interface between people and technology, ensuring that our products are developed from the very beginning for the people who need them most.

Your new team:

You will be part of our global 'Customer Experience & Solution Design' team at the Mannheim site. You will work in an agile SCRUM team with dedicated colleagues. Together, our goal is to make a decisive difference for users and patients through outstanding usability engineering.

The Opportunity

  • Take Ownership: You will take responsibility for usability engineering and design validation in agile projects – from the initial idea to market launch.

  • Ensure User Focus: You will plan and conduct user tests (in-house and external), create the corresponding documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Be the Voice of the User: You will provide valuable input for the definition of requirements and product risk analysis, always representing the user's perspective.

  • Drive Projects Forward: You will independently manage complex work packages, delegate tasks to internal and external partners, and ensure the timely delivery of results.

  • Enable Regulatory Approvals: You will create and compile all relevant results for product approval in global markets (e.g., EU, USA, China).

Who you are

  • Your Foundation: You have a successfully completed Master's degree, e.g., in Human Factors Engineering, Psychology, an engineering or natural science field, with a specialization in Human Factors Engineering.

  • Your Experience: You have several years of professional experience in the development of medical devices and/or IVDs.

  • Your Practical Skills: You are experienced in planning and conducting user tests, also in collaboration with external partners, and you generate design recommendations from the results that are directly incorporated into product development.

  • Your Mindset: You feel comfortable in a complex and agile environment. You contribute creative ideas, can weigh risks, and drive decisions forward.

  • Your Communication: You have a confident demeanor and communicate convincingly and with business fluency in English.
