
Key Account Manager
Description
- Promote prescription medicines to healthcare professionals, focusing on urologists and endocrinologists.
- Identify, engage, and manage key accounts across hospitals, private practices, and clinics in the Cologne and neighbouring region.
- Take full ownership of your territory and account plans, ensuring clear objectives, tactical actions, and measurable outcomes are defined and executed for each priority account.
- Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with HCPs, KOLs, and other key stakeholders to build advocacy and trust.
- Collaborate with the Area Sales Manager to analyse performance, forecast demand, and identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory, ethical, and company standards, including § 75 AMG requirements where applicable.
- Represent the Company at regional congresses, events, and scientific meetings.
- Provide structured feedback from the field to support marketing, medical, and commercial strategy.
- Proven experience promoting prescription medicines, ideally within urology or endocrinology.
- Strong understanding of the German healthcare system and HCP engagement practices.
- Qualified as a Pharmareferent (§ 75 AMG) or holds an equivalent scientific qualification.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute account plans that drive consistent commercial results.
- Fluent in German (C1 or native) and English (B2 or above).
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in the field.
- Skilled communicator and relationship builder with a customer-first mindset.
- Based in or near Cologne, with willingness to travel within the region. Successful sales experience in a relevant healthcare environment (pharmaceuticals and diagnostics) in Germany.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and to the UK when required.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to make decisions and take ownership.
- Results-driven, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, growing organisation.
