Director Supply Chain & Logistics

The Director Supply Chain & Logistics will be responsible for the Management of Demand Planning Reagents for Global Supply Chain Core Lab to ensure the operations meet its customer service, financial and inventory, quality and safety goals.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Compliance with all legal requirements applicable to quality, environment, health and safety for the area managed
• Management of the International Demand Planning Reagents Group located in Wiesbaden and the TPM Reagent Planning Group located in Sligo
• Budget responsibility for the I nternational Demand Planning Reagents Group cost centre
• Demand & Supply Planning of TPM Reagents sourced through DEC and LCDC
• Core Lab Reagents Programs for Global Supply Chain (IVD, Reach)
• Support the Global Affiliates with available information, reservations and special requests when required
• Support global financial reporting for plan & update cycles
• Inventory and Distressed responsibility
• Hiring, training and development of employees
• Support and execution of GSC projects
• Beyond the general legal obligation to prevent accidents, the Director Global Demand Planning is assigned certain duties in respect to environmental protection and work safety which tie in directly with his/her position with the company. It is his/her task to support actively Abbott's environmental goals, to keep the sequence of operations free of risks, and to ensure employees under his/her supervision follow the rules for safety behaviour at work

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or other equivalent OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Minimum 8 years Supply Chain experience
• 5 years of supervisory experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills to handle issues impacting the balance of supply and demand
• Adept at working in ambiguous situations, tight focus on detail; able to balance risk with action
• Executive Presence: Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
