JOB DESCRIPTION:
Senior Financial Analyst. Germany (m/f/d)
This position works out of our Wiesbaden site, Abbott GmbH in the Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) division.
Objective
-
Responsible for Month-end Close activities including preparing journal entries, accruals, and reclasses to other divisions/functions.

Prepare Flash reports and Actuals commentary vs. various benchmarks.

Analyze large, complex data sets to monitor financial performance for the ADC Germany affiliate, including price/volume variance analysis and ad-hoc reporting.

Support Balance Sheet analysis, forecast and reconciliation.

Responsible for Project Expense, Freight and Distribution expenses.

Collaborate with internal IT departments to ensure proper systems data flow and drive continuous data quality improvements.

Provide timely support for internal and external audit queries, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with financial standards.

Participate in improvement projects and provide training/documentation.

The position reports to Germany Finance Manager.
Major Accountabilities

Primary coordinator of DACH Month-end close process.
-
Prepare the monthly, quarterly financial reporting packages.

Support the Finance team in the development of Plan/LBEs/OEM cycles.

Support Balance Sheet analysis, forecast and reconciliation.

Responsible for Project Expense, Freight and Distribution expenses.

Headcount reporting.

Advocate and train on relevant policies to ensure compliance to processes within ADC Germany
-
Deliver regular as well as ad-hoc reporting and analyses
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting.

3-5 years or relevant experience in controlling or finance department, preferably in a multi-national company

Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Advanced SAP skills

Fluent in German and English

Communication and presentation skills
