Leadership Development in Procurement - LDP Associate (all genders)
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Leadership Development in Procurement (LDP) Program (all genders) is designed to cultivate procurement professionals equipped with essential skills to lead meaningful initiatives, drive innovation and shape the future of Bayer’s global Procurement organization. During the 18-month program, you will actively collaborate in international teams gaining knowledge and experience in a wide range of subject areas
- Achieve learning and development objectives and deliver business results during project-based rotations (each 3 months in duration) across all areas of Procurement. Each program rotation will have defined key tasks and deliverables which are relevant to the specific function and scope, and these program rotations can include (but are not limited to):
- Preparing supplier negotiations
- Handling pricing analysis and sourcing processes
- Driving Sustainability initiatives
- Identifying spend and cost saving opportunities
- Leveraging AI and innovation
- Foster collaboration and build strong, cross-functional relationships within our global Bayer Procurement community and across other business functions
- Enhance your understanding of business operations while proactively monitoring progress toward key objectives
- Engage with mentors and build your network to actively drive your professional growth
- Participate in an international short-term assignment or extended business trip to gain global exposure
WHO YOU ARE
- You hold a master’s degree or PhD in Business Administration, Engineering, or Natural Sciences, with excellent grades
- You bring initial work experience, such as internships, in Procurement or related business fields; international experience is a plus
- You are genuinely passionate about procurement and committed to driving value creation across the supply chain
- You demonstrate learning agility, with a willingness to adapt and grow in a fast-paced environment
- You exhibit a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- You excel in building partnerships and collaborating across cultures to achieve common goals
- You embrace a forward-thinking attitude that leverages digital transformation and utilizes analytical skills to enhance decision-making
- You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present and articulate ideas to diverse audiences
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
Domestic and international travel is required (~15%)
