Reliability Manager Project (m/f/d) limited to 24 months


As a Project Reliability Manager, you are responsible for implementing technical asset management processes in accordance with Bayer's Product Supply System Standards, which ensure the technical availability and proper technical condition of the lines in the line cluster, as well as the efficient deployment of maintenance personnel. In this role, you report to the Head of Maintenance Planning and Excellence and work closely with the Engineering Operations and Maintenance Execution departments. You will also train and empower shift teams to gain a better understanding of plant procedures and processes and to continuously develop their skills.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • You will prepare and implement PSS processes in SOL 1 operations with a focus on progressive maintenance
  • You will conduct the review and implementation of site-wide standards for paperless preventive maintenance (P2R) in the SAP FAM system using the SAP PPM module (SAP Paperless Preventive Maintenance) and the mobile application (SAP WorkManager)
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing suitable maintenance strategies to continuously improve the reliability and availability of equipment
  • You will independently optimize existing maintenance plans during initial execution with regard to safety, environmental protection, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, quality, and other regulatory aspects
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing processes (PSS process: Breakdown Elimination) to reduce unplanned downtime caused by breakdowns
  • You will systematically analyze equipment failures, determine their causes, and develop and implement solutions and maintenance concepts
  • You will independently prioritize and plan content-related activities. Personnel costs and required materials for planned maintenance measures and repairs for the entire Sol 1 operation at the Leverkusen Supply Center
  • You will be responsible for training the shift teams in the "Defect Find & Fix" work process by imparting knowledge and skills to them
  • You will work closely with the spare parts coordinators in preparing for maintenance

Who you are

  • You have a master's degree in process engineering, mechanical engineering, automation, or a comparable qualification
  • You have experience in the development and implementation of maintenance strategies and processes
  • You have relevant technical experience in the field of process engineering systems and production equipment
  • Additional qualifications in maintenance management or technology, as well as professional experience in a GMP environment (e.g., pharmaceutical production facilities) are an advantage
  • Your work style is solution-oriented, independent, and responsible
  • You are a team player, interculturally minded, and have good communication skills to work with different people and departments
  • You are characterized by flexibility, resilience, and reliability
  • You have very good IT skills (including SAP-FAM, MS Office)
  • Excellent written and spoken German skills round out your profile
