Senior Manager Global Crisis & Business Continuity Management

The Position

We are seeking experienced Resilience professionals with a strong emphasis on Business Continuity Management to embed a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) across our organisation and global operations. In this role you will have sponsorship to build a high-performing global capability, transforming a strong framework into consistent and scalable practice. You will influence how a global business manages resilience and crisis, partnering closely with regional and functional leaders to strengthen our preparedness and response, meet regulatory expectations, and protect our people, customers, and brand.

Along the way, you will benefit from professional development and support toward relevant certifications, ensuring you continue to grow as you help elevate our global resilience posture. 

Depending on your experiences and skills, this position can either be filled as Manager or Senior Manager.

This role operates in a hybrid model with approximately three days per week on site in Ingelheim Germany. 

Tasks & responsibilities:  

  • Driving the ongoing development of the Business Continuity Management capability you will ensure the programme delivers measurable value and remains aligned with regulatory and industry developments. This includes supporting crisis preparedness and response activities to strengthen organisational resilience, and advancing the adoption of AI and automation tools, to sustain a forward looking BCMS strategy.
  • You will oversee the delivery and governance of the BCMS and its supporting strategy across the organisation. Engaging, influencing, and demonstrating value to key stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure sustained commitment and alignment with supporting practices by ensuring policy alignment, defining responsibilities, and upholding standards in alignment with ISO 22301.
  • Leading the planning, maintenance, and operational support of the BCMS, you will develop Business Impact Analyses, BCM risk assessments, continuity plans, and scenario‑based exercises.
  • You will enable integration with enterprise risk, aligning BCM activities with crisis management, organisational resilience programmes, and third party resilience practices.
  • Development and stewardship of meaningful performance metrics will also be your responsibility, including KPIs/OKRs, and maturity assessments, providing clear reporting on progress and insights to senior leadership.
  • You will support the governance and continuous improvement of the crisis management system, contributing to continuous improvement and readiness across the organisation will be a key task.
  • Deputising for the Global Crisis Manager in coordinating the preparation, facilitation, and operational guidance of the corporate crisis management team when required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Organisational Resilience, or a related discipline is essential. Supported by proven experience delivering BCM and resilience capabilities across multi regional and multi site environments, ideally within complex or regulated organisations.
  • A highly effective and influential communicator, capable of working autonomously while demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships at all organisational levels. Confident operating at senior levels, with the ability to influence, constructively challenge, and clearly articulate complex topics.
  • Highly proficient in the use of dashboards and analytics, translating data into actionable insight that drives behaviours, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strategic, results driven, and adept at driving projects forward, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear executive narratives, playbooks, training materials, and reports. Strong command of the English language is essential.
