Medical Advisor (m/f/d)

We are looking for professionals who enjoy scientific debate, independent thinking, and shaping medical perspectives in areas of evolving evidence.


You will provide medical and scientific leadership to shape GSK activities in Germany, primarily focused on RSV prevention. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams and external healthcare professionals to ensure medical accuracy, high quality evidence generation, and ethical engagement. Moreover, you will lead the development and dissemination of scientific data, including conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications. Responsibilities:

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Lead development of local medical strategy and evidence plans.
  • Partner with field medical teams to generate insights that shape global strategy.
  • Act as a trusted scientific partner across functions, influencing prioritization and decision-making in local and global setting.
  • Provide medical leadership for the development and review of scientific materials, ensuring high scientific quality, strategic interpretation of evidence, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Plan and deliver scientific meetings, advisory boards, and medical education for healthcare professionals.
  • Respond to medical information requests from internal and external stakeholders in a timely, evidence-based way.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external experts to inform medical strategy and evidence generation.
  • Monitor scientific literature and competitive landscape to inform local medical insights and recommendations.

Work model: This position is hybrid, with a mix of office and home-based work and regular presence in our Germany office as agreed with your manager.

Basic Qualification:
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • Medical degree (MD), PharmD, PhD in a relevant life science, or equivalent clinical/scientific qualification.
  • Several years of experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or a related scientific role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to critically interpret clinical and real-world evidence and translate it into clear, impactful scientific narratives.
  • Proven experience working in a regulated environment and following compliance requirements.
  • Fluent German (minimum C1 level) and English speaking and writing skills, with ability to engage confidently in scientific discussions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work across functions.


Preferred Qualification:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Experience in therapeutic areas relevant to vaccines, public health, or prevention.
  • Demonstrate strategic scientific thinking and ability to influence across functions.
  • Have experience driving evidence generation and medical strategy.
  • Can articulate complex clinical data to diverse audiences, with a track record of external scientific engagement.
  • Medical professional with hands-on experience in patient care, clinical research, or advanced medical affairs roles.
  • Prior experience in copy approval or medical review of promotional and non-promotional content.
  • Experience working in a matrix organisation and managing stakeholders.
  • Skills in digital medical communications, omnichannel planning, or data analytics.
  • Willingness to travel within Germany for meetings and medical activities.
