
Site Procurement Specialist
The Global Procurement, Respiratory & HIV team is responsible for site procurement across the four global GSK manufacturing Sites. We are looking for a Site Procurement Specialist to join our team at the Ware manufacturing site (in Hertfordshire).
As the Site Procurement Specialist (SPS), reporting to the Site Procurement Manager, you will partner with stakeholders across site functional areas (including Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Technical and Engineering) and work closely with Global Procurement Category teams to support all site procurement activities.
The role is high-profile, working with stakeholders enterprise-wide (including up to Senior Director level) to understand specifications and business requirements. You will be responsible for identifying, managing and executing performance management of initiatives in order to optimise third party vendor security for supply, quality, service, cost, innovation, regulatory and sustainability for the Ware site. In delivering your role, you will work cross-functionally, as well as globally to create best-in-class partnerships with key suppliers, as well as site and category teams.
For this role you will need to have high levels of enthusiasm, initiative and drive to deliver change for the site. You will be highly numerate, have strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and in financial management. Awareness of procurement process (eg; sourcing, quotation analysis, contract negotiation and creation, supplier financial reviews) would be advantageous but not essential if you have high learning agility. You will also need excellent communication skills and stakeholder/supplier management skills.

Financials: Cost & cash - primarily Cost of Goods/OPEX savings. Drive and measure optimal PPV (Purchase Price Variance) performance and manage/implement value generation initiatives.

Security of Supply: ensuring that the right raw material is delivered at the right time, in the right amount & quality at the correct time.

Innovation: driving & capturing new ideas & innovation to optimise supply & process

Quality: Reduce supplier deviations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Service: Drive optimal On Time In Full delivery of vendors.

Risk: Support implementation of risk mitigation measures to ensure security of supply of key materials and services.

Sustainability: Champion and drive implementation of key initiatives in support of ambitious targets.

Basic Qualifications :
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

Bachelors degree in Science, Law, Mathematics, Business, English, Engineering or other relevant area or A-level/ BTEC level education or a CIPs, procurement, purchasing, contract management or supply chain qualification.

Procurement or Supply Chain experience (awareness of Procurement tools - eg; sourcing, quotation analysis, contract negotiation, supplier review, supplier development, etc).

Excellent analytical skills, comfortable working with and interpretating data and numbers.

Ability to manage sensitive partnerships, strong influencing and stakeholder partnering skills coupled with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

CIPS qualified (or equivalent)
