Summary

The Senior Brand Manager (SBM)/Brand Lead Hematology (m/f/d) reports to the Director Marketing and Multi-Channel-Engagement and holds full strategic and operational leadership for the assigned brand(s).

As a key driver of brand success, this role is accountable for the development, execution, and continuous optimization of high-impact marketing strategies, designed to maximize revenue and market share growth in alignment with corporate objectives.

Acting as the Brand P&L owner at country level, the Brand Lead is responsible for defining and delivering performance-oriented plans, tracking brand performance through robust KPIs, and driving data-informed decision-making in close collaboration with cross-functional partners – including Medical, Sales, VAP/Market Access, Business Analytics, and International Brand Teams.

In the framework of the marketing strategy, the SBM/Brand Lead has a leading role in positioning, developing, supporting, coordinating commercial projects/activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • You lead and drive the strategy and implementation by initiating, developing and executing high-impact tactics, tools and initiatives with the Brand Team that enables the sales force to successfully drive brand performance. This includes printed and electronic promotional material, support of sales training and customer-facing promotional initiatives.
  • Together with Business Analytics, you ensure that the relevant teams have timely and actionable market insights available to analyze and proactively adapt strategies nationally and locally.
  • You act as Brand Lead and will be a standing member of both the National and International Brand Team to drive high quality and successful operationalization of focused brand strategy.
  • You help to ensure that relevant activities and tactics in the field of multi-channel presence of the brands will be developed and implemented.
  • You will be responsible for the review of product related data to ensure the field-force is kept up-to date on new development of the brand and competitor products as well as ensure systematic collection of competitive intelligence.
  • You act as first point of reference for all product related inquiries from the field team and work closely with colleagues in the field-force, medical affairs, legal and regulatory in order to manage the brand needs within the strategic priorities.
  • You build and work in close liaison with the field force to assess the response to and the suitability of current promotional material and activities to ensure that the material is used in the optimal and compliant way.
  • You co-create and support the design of market research projects to assess the market specifics and the customer´s attitude to the brand and translate the insights into relevant actions ensuring the successful promotion of the brands.
  • You lead the development and execution of the Country Brand Plan and ensure the roll out and implementing following the strategic imperatives and by applying branding discipline in all promotional activities and materials.
  • You will be accountable for the design and organization of satellite symposia and booth appearance at nationwide conferences.
  • You contribute when appropriate to International activities or projects.
  • You lead and manage vendors and agencies to ensure high quality of output; communicate, track and keep timelines and budget.
  • You are responsible for the monitoring and managing the brand budget and help to assess the marketing mix of the brand to evaluate cost-effectiveness, ROI and overall brand performance.
  • You contribute positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics
  • You act within compliance and legal requirements as well as within company guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-6 years of successful marketing/ product management and/or sales representative experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals Sales & Marketing.
  • 6-8 years pharmaceutical industry or comparable experience
  • University degree in Science and/or degree in Business.
  • Experience in Oncology/Hematology or rare diseases and understanding of customer- and market needs.
  • Proven track record of achievements in sales and marketing.
  • Experience in relevant multi-channel marketing activities.
  • Successful track record in selling oncology products.
  • Excellent spoken and written English. Fluent German is a must.
  • Able to analyze data and draw the right conclusions.
  • Solution oriented and task driven.
  • Structured approach to project management.
  • Passionate team player focusing on solutions and outcomes.
  • Can do mentality and proven ability to successfully lead and manage multiple projects in high quality across a matrix organization.
  • Continuous improvement & innovation as a mindset.
