Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Referral Pathway Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with General Practitioners (GPs) and clinical cardiologists. This role is crucial in helping interventional cardiologists create a robust patient pool through effective referral networks and patient identification strategies.

Essential Job Functions

  • Partner with interventional cardiologists to educate them on their patient’s needs and assist/guide them in utilizing their patient databases with specific criteria to identify eligible patients/potential candidates from their own practice.

  • Provide support to interventional cardiologists in identifying and addressing any challenges related to patient referrals.

  • Develop and implement strategies to create and maintain a comprehensive patient referral network.

  • Establish and nurture relationships with General Practitioners, clinical cardiologists, and other relevant healthcare professionals.

  • Coordinate and facilitate communication between GPs, clinical cardiologists, and interventional cardiologists to ensure seamless patient referrals.

  • Organize and conduct outreach programs, meetings, and presentations to promote referral network initiatives.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of referral networks and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate records of referral activities and generate regular reports on referral patterns and outcomes.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to patient referral networks.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, science, nursing or related fields, or quivalent experience.

  • Extensive industry experience.

  • Pharmaceutical sales experience a plus.

  • Proven experience in building and managing patient referral networks, particularly within the cardiology field desired.

  • Established strong relationships with General Practitioners and clinical cardiologists

  • Strong understanding of the healthcare system and referral processes.

  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Computer skills (MS Office products, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.).

  • Good prioritization and organizational skills.

  • Excellent critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.

  • High energy and results-oriented individual who is mature and successful in a business environment and is skilled in motivating and inspiring people.

  • Entrepreneurial “hands-on” experience. Pro-active and “can do” attitude.

  • Works effectively on cross-functional teams. Demonstrates willingness to make decisions and to take responsibility for such.

  • Effective written, verbal and presentation skills with all levels of customers and management.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

  • Operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements.

  • Fluent written and spoken German, fluency in any other language highly preferred.

  • Significant travel >80% of time requiring the employee to be effective in a remote manner.

Classification : This position is assigned in the non-tariff area.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 66.500.00 EUR to 107,065.00 EUR.
